Shrew sounded the alarm last summer when he lost 4 out of five big time recruits to Xavier, Illinois, Ohio State and MD when he thought he had a very good shot at two them which combined with the three he already had would have been a monster class on top of his first class. There was no help. All NIL related. He spoke of it again in December and then again after the first of the year and not much happened. Then he caught lightning in a bottle and it was too late… nothing had been done. Zippo. That was the signal. Game, set, and match. Shrew didn’t use PSU. We got what we deserved. Typical BB apathy. Nothing changes. There will be no big time hire if they don’t do something about NIL for BB. But it’s all about FB. Shrew is smart. PSU was dumb.

Sums it up nicely. Those that spin the he wanted to go home yarn are doing it to sooth their hurt egos. He wanted to win and build a program... From our Admin... He got squat so he moved to a place he had a shot at his aspirations. I wish him the best.

Penn State’s so call fat cats crapped the bed. The same crew that has allowed the university to operate in a major deficit and never told the new leadership coming in during the interview process. They only support football because it finances the athletic department and allows them to entertain 7 times a year. They are not good for PSU.

He left for more money. And by "more money" I mean some combination of Salary, Additional Income Opportunities (TV/Radio shows), and longer-term opportunities created by being HC of a much larger program.

Why people are uncomfortable with someone saying "I am going for more money" is a mystery to me.
