Trustees granted access to Freeh File materials.

The seven trustees listed as plaintiffs in the case are: Anthony P. Lubrano, Ryan J. McCombie, Edward "Ted" Brown, William F. Oldsey, Barbara L. Doran, Alice Pope and Robert C. Jubelirer.

"We are greatly heartened by the court's decision today granting our petition to gain full access to the source documents used in creating the Freeh Report. There are numerous remaining financial and legal challenges facing our university which hinge directly on the findings espoused by Louis Freeh in his 2012 report. In addition, there is consistent ongoing evidence that in its unchallenged form, the Freeh Report continues to have a negative impact on Penn State's reputation."

Do we even care anymore? Once they voted for Ira, I gave up on the alumni trustees.

How about the stab in the back of supporting that piece of garbage MontCo-Hershey GOP Junta & Crime Syndicate Lawyer-turned-Politician traitor, Jake Corman??? Remember when the defenders of the corrupt PA Govt MontCo-Hershey GOP Political Lackeys were telling us what a great guy he was and how well he represented his Alma Mater, PSU, as the Representative of the Central Counties of PA in the legislature??? This @sshole raped and pillaged his own constituency doing the diametric opposite of what was in HIS CONSTITUENCY's "best interest" out of unmitigated self-interest and bald-faced political corruption, toadyism and cronyism.

Only 69 days until September 17! I think that was the big day Anthony mentioned -- though I was fooled into thinking he meant 2016. I'm on pins and needles waiting to see if he meant 2017!

The BOT - all of them.

Like we were by so many of the supposed insiders on this board, we were duped by the A9. Good for business, though,.

What's really unfortunate for Penn State (outside of the 'legacy' BOT members) is the number of good, qualified candidates who threw their hat into the ring without a Freeh/Paterno agenda and who are likely not going to run ever again. Penn State isn't going to be able to do anything about the past or the current perception of the school (save a silver bullet from someone credible); they need to work on the future and make Penn State a great place for current and future students.

I'm probably voting in 1 more BOT election and then stopping.
It hasn't seemed to do any good and when maybe it could have, the powers that be just re-work the rules and put whomever
they wanted on the board anyway.
I find it funny and not in the ha-ha way, that one of Freeh's points for the Sandusky shit storm reform was to reduce the size of the BOTS. So what do the ahole BOT's do? add more fn' aholes.

Am I to presume that having a completely corrupt, massively-conflicted, self-serving Board (in violation of PA Trust and Fiduciary Law I should add) who does not believe in transparency even though it is a stipulated Law via PSU's Founding PA Legislation and Charter! (i.e., RTK "Sunshine" laws) is in the "best interests" of PSU the institution???

Something tells me that people are confusing "shameless self-promoters", charlatans and whores with actual "leaders"..... PSU's got a culture problem, but the problem is with immoral, zero-principle, zero-integrity, ever- narcissistic handful of scumbags that reside in the all-powerful "Executive Committee of the BOT", not with the PSU Community at-large!

I used to think the elected trustees really cared about this school's name and reputation. I realize now that they really care more about enhancing their own resumes. Silly me.

Enhancing resumes...cough, cough, Adam T., cough, cough.
The others though are all in it for the money and whatever shady deals they can get passed.
If you can't tell by my posts I am thoroughly disgusted with the BOTS, all of them, including the ones I helped
get elected.

No - they are awful and you are correct.

They should know what's in those 19 pages of 2001 emails.

First post-Sandusky election, in 2012:

86 Candidates

(link here: https://pennstatermag.com/bot2012/ )

Note This:
In the link, you will see that the 86 candidates were asked for their "positions" on topics such as PSU's skyrocketing tuition - - - - and what to do about it.

71 of the 86 candidates provided answers/position statements on the topics............15 did not.

The three who would end up being elected?

NONE of them so much as took the time to provide an answer or opinion on any of the topics.
:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Quite the omen with regard to the failure of fiduciary duty (and even the basic unwillingness to communicate with the electorate) that we have experienced over the last five years

What does that tell us?
What does that tell us about the priorities we - as Alumni - had vav the candidates we selected to serve as "responsible stewards"?

Now? We get the same three re-treads....and almost no one else

Largely due to three factors:

1 - Once installed, the Alumni trustees voted to make the nomination/election process 5X more burdensome for non-incumbents (and willingly admitted that doing so would prevent candidates from running....and that, reducing "competition", was considered as a "benefit" of their actions.)

2 - The consistent mentality of far too many of the voters to focus on nothing but the "Footbal" issues.

3 - Intellectual laziness on the part of too many voters (not much different than we see in most political elections) - - - - - whereby they become married to "their guys", and continue to vote for them - no matter how atrociously they fail in their duty.

2013 - 39 Candidates

2014 - 32 Candidates

Changes to nomination/election process

2015 - 3 Candidates

2016 - 4 Candidates

2017 - 4 Candidates

Mission accomplished for the Incumbents

Prior to 2015 Elections:
Now that they are entrenched, Trustees vote to change the nomination/election process, to reduce the number of challengers to their positions.

It a damn shame no one released a Kraken on old Jake Corman
