1. Big 10 officiating sucks.

2. Obesity is rampant in Minnesota.

3. The head coach of Minnesota is a jerk, and it's little wonder he coached under Tressel.

1) Games should never come down to officals.. We didn't play well enough to win. Playoff teams punch it in on 1st and goal.

2. PA has many overweight people.. So does NY, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, Florida.. Not sure your point.

3. Their staff outcoached ours today.

First off, I will say I have not seen Minnesota play this year. But as a former OC, my game plan as the Minnesota OC would be to come out throwing the ball to force Brett to back off and play with more balance. Then I move to the run and the play action passes. In games like this it is sometimes more effective to go away from your tendencies and get into a guessing game with the DC. I really think this may be Minnesota’s best chance against this defense. I’m not happy with our pass defense and our pass rush has been invisible in our big games. If their QB can get the ball out quick, we will have a problem.

The key on offense will be to sustain drives and make first downs. Don’t plan on livingoff chunk plays.

Franklin doesn't seem to be an advocate of deviating from defensive or offensive modus operandi. That can be weakness at times.

Bad day for the official college fb team of NAMBLA. Said that you were WAY overrated after you got gifted at Iowa, and you couldn’t win today despite getting gifted a touchdown. It would have been ugly without that. B1G west ruins another PSU season again. This time it was the Goofs turn :p. Just wanted to say what’s up to all your trolls we saw.

Oh, and your school enabled abuse. Good luck the rest of the way!

You were spot on. I didn"t understand how many on this board were so blatantly underestimating Minny. They had 3 big productive WRs that had to be a match up nightmare for our secondary and we have not generated a pass rush in our B1G schedule. Those were warning signs.
Still not happy with this offense and then the defense didn't adjust quickly.
Total team loss (coaching preparation and player execution)

Our D made the Minny QB and one WR look like the #1 and #2 picks in the NFL draft. Our D and turnovers cost us the game

Minny out played us and out coached us. This imbalanced line thing totally confused us. Not sure why but speaks to Franklin's X and O weakness. Add to that we come out flat as a board on D, another coaching issue. Then make poor in game decisions such as going for 2 and lousy red zone playcalling. Have WR's who can't catch and make a horrible penalty. A QB who throws 3 picks. What is the result? A loss against a good team playing inspired football at home.

1) Most officiating sucks

2) There are obese people all over the country

3) I didn't know Fleck coached under Tressel. Still, weird mottoes like "row the boat" are better left in high school

Regardless of the above, we had opportunities to keep drives alive. As in past seasons dropped passes at key times killed us. Our guys lack the attitude of every play being their opportunity to make an individual effort which will decide the game. They don't seem to be prepared to seize the moment when it arrives. It's up to the coaches to instill that mentality.

We were thrown a big, shiny bone this week. And unlike Clemson who wasn't, we threw it back.

Just tired of watching sloppy football. Defense sucked today but be nice if offense can execute a play. Other then few huge talent the offense just looks badly coached.

We grasped defeat from the jaws of victory as we were in it up until the last interception at the end of the game, in the end zone.

Yet, we played a sloppy game, took a long time to adjust at all and were played by Minny's staff. who used their bye week productively to prepare for the assault on the men from Nittany. I don't know how our staff handled the bye week but Parson's didn't start, we sat a starting D lineman for the game, etc.

These young men need to understand their actions impact the entire team, they are no living on islands free to act individually without impacting others individually and the team as a whole.
