A few and thoughts and observations from the game. One of the best days that I can remember in terms of weather for watching a game.

1) I have to admit that I was one of the skeptical ones about playing Journey Brown at running back. In my opinion, he has earned the opportunity to start. He hits the hole quickly and I was impressed by his blocking.

2) Our DL showed very little in the first half except for PJ Mustipher. Robert Windsor looks lighter and a bit lethargic and not as disruptive as last year. Some better play from the DL in the second half. Good to see Fred Hansard to come back from the season ending leg injury.

3) Will our kickoff team ever to defend a kickoff return? Jordan Stout is good as advertised. He also kicked a 64 yard FG in warmups.

3) Pat Friermuth is an absolute beast. The one hand catch on the fourth and two play was a very nice play.

4) Mr. Steady John Reid makes the play that turns around the game. Trent Gordon playing hard to earn the third cornerback position. Tariq Castro-Fields made a couple on nice open field tackles.

5) Tough to see Daniel George with the arm/wrist injury. Looks like Shorter, Hamler and Dotson are going to get most of the reps. The question is which players step up for the four and five wide receiver positions.

6) For the second straight year, a drunk fan when after parents in the stands. We sit just a few seats away from the parents section in EF. This so called fan would not stop booing at halftime and got into an argument with Lance Dixon's dad. Another fan was yelling at Mike Miranda's parents about the blocking. Stadium security in our section quite frankly is a joke. There is no place for this kind of behavior at a college football game.

7) For the second straight week, I was fortunate to meet a fellow board member. This week is was the renowned board member Tom also need as Tgar. Really enjoyed the dialogue with him and the opportunity to meet his wife.

Ready for Pitt next week for career game 229. Yesterday's win was career win 202.
