Just got back from the game.
Paris Palmer had a rough game (understatement) causing disarray down the line. I think Franklin gives him Buffalo. If he doesn't show improvement I think he does what many have been saying...bench Palmer, move Nelson to LT and Mangiro to RT and give C to one of the many interior options (Laurent, Reihner, Dowrey).
Lynch had an OK game but he too made some bad decisions. One play he ran left, Wilkerson, Palmer and perhaps Mahon had it blocked ok. If he ran to the hole he would have gained 4-6 yards. Lynch tried taking it wide left giving extra time to Matakevich who stopped it for a 1-2 yard gain.
Lewis can not be counted on to make a percentage of catches.
Hack missed Hamilton on a play that would have given us a 17-0 lead. We are just not making plays.
There was at least 1 sack Hack could have avoided.
Most of our WR still seem to run bad/imprecise routes.
Why no screens to Allen, Thompkins, or Polk? Opponents are now prepared for the Jet sweet.
Cabinda missed a golden opportunity for a pick 6. Again, we are just not making plays.
On Hack's near pick 6, how could we run the same play twice in a row? 2nd and 3 isn't a running down.
With our LB depth why was Nyeem playing Special Teams?
I guess Wooten isn't the solution at LB...with Nyeem gone for the season, that appeared to be the reason we burned Cooper's and Bowen's RS. He seemed to have quite a bit of problems.
By the way, Spec Teams is the only facet of the game we did seem to improve.
I thought our DEs had a chance to be better this year and that we might not miss Barnes and Olaniyan. I was wrong.
There's quite a laundry list of things that need fixing. Don't know if there's enough time to address.
