A generic question: Does a healthy Nick Bosa make a difference in the game?

Not a troll question, rather, a strategic one given his past performances. Had PSU won, the OSU fans would have said so to be sure.

For sure. He is a monster.

Sucks he missed the game, but we had plasters our as well.

Not content to escape with the win, huh? You need to troll the losing team with "We would have crushed you if Bosa had played!"

Maybe so ... and last year, had DEs Buckholtz and Brown not been hurt, Penn State would have won in Columbus. Go back and tell your friends it all evened out.

Who can say? Every team has injuries. Bosa's injury was a big loss to OSU, but if Hamler hadn't been knocked out of the game, most here feel we would have won. One could argue that Hamler means more to our success than Bosa does to you. RB Mark Allen, a 5th year senior. missed the game for us. Perhaps if he was in at the end of the 1st half, there would have been no fumble.

Does a healthy DE Ryan Buccholz and LT Ryan Bates make a difference in the game at OSU last year? With those two healthy we would have won last year to be sure.

How about a healthy Simmons or Buchholz this year? We dodged a bullet with Bosa out for sure. But I'll put it like this - I'd trade Bosa being healthy for us not fumbling at our own 20.

I will say this. At this point that is what separates PSU and OSU. First string and healthy they are even. However Ohio State can withstand the lose of their top defensive player and replace him with Uber talent. Not only did PSU lose Bucholz and Brown the starting DE to career ending injuries, they were also without their best returning DE Shane Simmons from a training camp injury.

We can play the what if game all day, you play with the players available. 2 one point loses where PSU just doesn’t know how to break thru and finish yet, multiple score leads in the fourth quarter last 2 years. Won in 2016. Double overtime in 2014. Ohio State has had the better roster in every one of these occassions without a doubt, sometimes by a very wide margin. Even now nobody would pick the Penn state roster over Ohio State, maybe just now getting in the ballpark. Think about the current rosters, PSU improving recruiting, where PSU is coming from the past 5 years, results of the last handful of games and realize your days running the big ten by yourselves are over.

Generic question? Seems like a very specific question to me.

How about the kids who were held out due to cutting classes? We played with depth up until this game, particularly on D.

Maybe and maybe if your team didn’t cheap shot our best WR who then had to leave the game we would have won.

Bosa would probably have been ejected for a targeting cheap shot personal foul for ripping off Trace’s helmet, those 15 yds would have been big for PSU.

So yeah, his not playing impacted the game and probably would have been a game changer.

Any more dumb ass trolling gloating questions?

You can’t call a question about a specific player’s absence in a game a generic question. I am disqualifying the entire thread on the basis of a faulty premise.
