A great read on new WR coach Gerad Parker...

If he can get the WRs to catch the ball.......I'm with Abe Lincoln (Grant).
But, the issues went beyond the drops. How may times were we flagged for offensive PI, on plays no where near the ball? Perfect example, first play following the Iowa blocked punt. Screen to Hamler coming across the formation, but he crossed the LOS, so Friermuth's block became offensive PI. The little things like that were off all season with the WRs.

Bingo!

It will make a couple folks on the board - who seem to feel that coaches can NEVER have a negative impact (or even a less than completely positive impact :) ) - but LARGE chunks of the problems with PSU’s offense in 2018 were “perfect storm” issues that are largely attributable to coaching....... and that certainly includes the performance of the WR group.

(And now the gnashing of teeth wrt “The coaches don’t fumble, drop balls, or miss tackles” ....... they are paid millions of dollars in a competitive business because they have no impact on performance :) ......can commence )
It all starts and ends with the CEO.

They are paid to recruit

FWIW, Duke had some disappointments in the passing game this past season. Despite having QB Daniel Jones, who is a potential 1st round draft choice, the WR corps had one good performer in Rahming, other decent one in Taylor, and not much else. Generally failed to get much separation against better teams and had plenty of drops. I think it was mostly a lack of talent at the position, but WRs did not shine.
