ROFL. It doesn't get any better than this. Allen Weisselberg has already spent time in jail as a result of lying and covering up for his Orange Capo, and it looks like he may be returning to the hoosegow. (Damn! I hate it when that happens!)

Why? Because Weaselberg has previously testified that he was not involved in matters related to the valuation of Trump's condominium in the soon to be E. Jean Carroll Tower (aka Trump Tower). You know, the condo that Trump repeatedly claimed as having a floor area of roughly 30,000 square feet, when in fact it has a floor area of roughly 10,000 square feet. To be precise, when he was asked, under oath, about the Trump Organization listing Cheeto's condo at 33,000 square feet when it is actually only 10,996 square feet, Weaselberg testified: "I never focused on the triplex, to be honest with you. It was almost de minimis relative to his net worth, so I really didn't focus on it."

It turns out that Weaselberg has been caught in a baldfaced lie there, which seems appropriate because he is nearly bald. As noted in the report linked below, Weaselberg actually focused a whole lot on it. The reason? Trump's relentless crusade to be included in the Forbes 400, a listing of the 400 wealthiest Americans. (Trump missed inclusion on that list this year, BTW.) This obsession of Trump's had not just Trump himself but also various of his minions, including Weaselberg, repeatedly calling, e-mailing and otherwise contacting representatives of Forbes Magazine to not just include this condo in their computation of Trump's net worth, but to argue that it was worth FAR more than the value Forbes was assigning to it. Weaselberg himself apparently invited Forbes representatives to come and take a tour of said condo with him.

And guess what? Forbes employees hung onto some of those various e-mails and other communcations from Weaselberg. And when Weaselberg recently testified that he "never really focused on the triplex," those Forbes employees decided it was their civic duty to come forward with those e-mails and communications.

The upshot? Weaselberg is now apparently negotiating with New York authorities to plead guilty to perjury. Query whether this negotiated guilty plea will result in Weaselberg finally rolling over a bit on his Orange Capo. Whatever happens, it is frickin' hilarious that Cheeto's campaign to be included in the Forbes 400 has resulted in his minion possibly rolling over on him. And one might also wonder if Judge Engoron, who is getting ready to issue his judgment on the amount of damages Trump and his companies must pay to the State of New York, might be interested in this new development.
