Didn’t he enter the portal last season?
Yeah. After transferring to PSU he was with team last season for awhile then entered portal again in March I believe. He's in the portal every season.
Bummer
Something in my gut tells me that'll be Bassett in 5 years.Busiello in the portal...
Let's hope not.Something in my gut tells me that'll be Bassett in 5 years.
I’ve been told you shouldn’t speculate about things like that. Even if the kid freely admitted he lost his love for the sport.Let's hope not.
I said as much about Busiello after the Edinboro Open 2 years ago. He looked like a kid that lost his love for the sport. And he wrestled like it too.
Just noticed he's not on the roster any more. It's really none of my business--but does anyone know anything?
Adam Busiello in the transfer portal for the second time . Hope he finally finds a home someplace.
What does it mean for them now? Are they still at Penn State or are they attending other schools but not wrestling?Busiello and Pipher are both in the portal and didn't find new destinations it appears.
I'm surprised Bo did not find a new home, if he really wanted one. I always thought he was a D1 starter someplace. And potentially a guy that could earn a spot at the tournament.Busiello and Pipher are both in the portal and didn't find new destinations it appears.
As one who cares thank you John.I love Adam! The thing that many forget is that college is an important time of growth and maturity. The big picture is establishing positive habits to contribute to society and maybe even improve it. Adam is working on that and it’s a lot more important than wrestling. For those who care? He is doing well.
This is precisely why I created the thread. I’m very glad to hear he is doing well!I love Adam! The thing that many forget is that college is an important time of growth and maturity. I lived there for a few years. Bo's family is legendary in wrestling on the western slope and his uncle coaches at Colorado Mesa and his sister was with their womens program. I think he is a notch above that level though.Pipher regularly posts pictures on IG from where he grew up in western CO, so I assume he is back there now.
John stops by to keep his like #’s up, seeing as how he is in the negative over tHeRe.I love Adam! The thing that many forget is that college is an important time of growth and maturity. Thanks for the feedback. I might be wrong, but it sounds like he's still at Penn State (but not wrestling) then.I love Adam! Maybe 500 post threads about 8th graders is a bit premature?Adam was one kid where I think genetics finally caught up to him IMO. When he committed early to PSU he was destroying all comers. I grew 6 inches in 1 year in Highschool and wasn't able to put the catch up weight back on until college. Adam had so much talent but proved a little too lanky to keep pace with elite much stronger kids up a few weight classes. From everything I have read about him, he's a great kid, I hope things work out the best for him.

An absolute hoot. Strange thinking. Perry looked big and solid yesterdayAgreed. Watch Bassett balloon into a heavy, that would be a hoot.
Or Cael. 119 lbs his freshman year of hs. Obviously grew quite a bit!A couple of good examples are Zahid Valencia and DT. Zahid started his HS career as a lightweight and was around 165-170 by the time he graduated. DT was the same way, he won Ironman at 106 his freshman year (if memory serves) then was wrestling 157 by the time he stepped on campus as a college freshman
Or 98 lb freshman Jason Nolf.Or Cael. 119 lbs his freshman year of hs. Obviously grew quite a bit!

165? Boy did he sprout up.If he's one and the same, Adam Busiello just won his first match by FALL at 165 for Nassau, at the NJCAA Championships.
He stole my diet plan!165? Boy did he sprout up.

I don't think it's him. I'll go with doppelganger.Adam Busiello - Men's Wrestling - Nassau Community College Athletics
Adam Busiello - Adam Busiello – graduated from Eastport South-Manor HS where he was a 5X NYS Champion. Adam had the most wins of any high school wrestler in NY historynassaulions.com
I think that is him. LolI don't think it's him. I'll go with doppelganger.
So much for us thinking he was as good as he was in hs because he matured early. LolIt's the same high school.
