After 20 years of heartache with his autistic twins, a Seahawks legend finds some peace

Curt Warner dodged the questions for years.

How come we never see you? Is something wrong?

People want answers when someone such as Warner, a famed and beloved Seattle Seahawks star, withdraws from the public eye for more than 20 years. Warner and his wife, Ana, never knew what to tell people.

Wow what a wonderful story. Thank you so much. Made my day.

The last quote is something worth framing.

“People ask, ‘How do you do it?’ ” Curt said. “Well, you just do it. You can’t just wait for a miracle, you have to get busy finding a way to live, one day after the other. And at some point you realize that maybe that was the miracle itself.”

Thanks for sharing. What a story. As a parent, I just can't imagine what Curt and his family have been through. I have all the respect in the world for Curt and his whole family.

What an incredible story. I would rate him one of the top 5 RB's I have ever seen in college football, but that does not measure the person he apparently is,

My heart breaks for what he has had to deal with. I have always ranked him up there with Poz as my favorite Penn State player and this article certainly shows what tremendous character he has.

There are so many problems in today's world that weren't around when we were young. Curt and Ana sure have had a heavy burden to carry but they've done a good a job as possible. God bless them and hopefully their faith will help them in this massive effort.

Thanks for posting. Sometimes "we" wonder what our purpose is.

As a parent of an autistic child, that was both difficult and wonderful to read. Thank you for posting.
I haven't had the easiest time raising my own kids but I can't begin to imagine the daily difficulties involved in raising an autistic child. This is a humbling thing to contemplate. You're a good man.

One of the far too many things that upset me about "our" country. The richest in the history of mankind. Sad.
Yup - some people want to turn it into a Hobbesian nightmare. Those who smugly think misfortune will never happen to them are just an accident away from getting their eyes opened about the sad state of social services in this country. I've seen the other side of things and I see people who struggle every day - and it's not because they are "lazy takers"

One more reason why I detest those who unjustly take advantage of the system. Not only do they give social services a black eye, they take money and manpower away from where they're really needed.
