Is there a more gifted running back tandem in the NFL than in State College? I am not saying polished yet but gifted.

Yep...plus, interesting to see teams utilizing the Winged T with TEs.
that short-yardage Winged T is really great. You can do the Bush push, forcing the D to reinforce the middle of the DL. The means bringing the S's down and pinching in the DEs and OLBs. With those two blocking TEs and a good RB, if you can punch through that initial D, you've got an open path to the endzone. If you don't, you still can do the Bush Push or go off tackle to get that one-yard. In the new world where the Bush Push is legal, it is really genius.
Yes. This is where you take optimistic and excitement to a homer level of insanity. The fact you'd even try to claim they're more "gifted" than McCaffrey & Mitchell or Zeke & Pollard (without even getting into the others) indicates pute bias or not comprehending football.
Yes they do. But I will stand on this..Singleton and Allen if they both stay healthy will go down as one of the two most heralded running backs in the same backfield in college.
We have had the pleasure of seeing
Franco and Lydell
Warner and Williams
Enis and Harris
Carter and Archie and etc, etc, etc
but the skill set of these two backs has shown as freshman impresses a lot of people that are not fans of PSU to say the least and IMHO it is warranted. Time will tell. Yr 1 is in the books... Looking forward to year 2 and 3.
No one disagrees that it's an amazing backfield with great potential. You tried to claim they're more gifted than NFL duos like McCaffrey/Mitchell and Zeke/Pollard. Excited is great and warranted but that comment was absurd. And there's a lot of competition outside Penn State for that title--doesn't make sense you only listed Penn State duos. and only the first one of the ones you listed is in the conversation for best duo ever in college football. KiJana doesn't push Archie to that level for example.
