Allar with 3 INTs

Third pick, obviously a Hail Mary. Meaningless. Second pick, not horrible.

The first pick was a terrible decision. It looked like Vinny T. in the 87 Fiesta Bowl. Like 6 SC players around 1 of ours. He throws one or two of those every game. We’ve been lucky so far.
The first interception was somewhat of a head scratcher. He threw the ball right into the teeth of the defense and he had a receiver wide open to his right coming out of the backfield on a wheel route.

DA acknowledged as such in his post game commentary.

When he sets his feet and squares to his target with confidence, he performs like the 5 star QB that we all had hoped he would be.

When he just relies on his pure arm strength under pressure is when he (and most QB's) struggle.

Impressive performance by DA on the road under adverse conditions.

A confidence and character building performance.....

Allar was tremendous but fball is a fickle. It was 'game over' at 3:50 in 4th if USC safety does not drop a pretty east INT. It was a bad pass and we would not be patting Drew on back.
If you play this what if game, then you need to include a Carter pick 6 for us.

You shouldn't win games when you throw 2 INTs like that. I don't bother counting the Hail Mary. But, we did and it's a testament to Drew for being able to shake them off and to our D for holding them to 6pts off the turnovers.

2 turnovers obviously isn't great but most teams of our caliber should be able to overcome that
Not against Ohio State but against someone like USC it's manageable and was

I feel bad for Drew. He cannot enjoy being split out wide or coming off the field for a few plays every drive. It's impossible for him to get into a rhythm and its hard to be the leader of the team from the sidelines.

One of the positives of going down 14 was that the coaches had to take the handcuffs off Drew in the second half and let him take a few more risks. Maybe today will convince Franklin that it's ok to allow his 5 star QB to sling it a little bit and it's not the end of the world to throw a pick every once in a while. Showing some trust in your QB and letting him know that it's ok to make mistakes is just going to give him more confidence
LMAO. You are the dark cloud behind the silver lining.

Tengwall with another great review. If you stop this play a few seconds into the play, as Tengwall does, you would never believe Drew completes a pass to his left side of the field, if at all. Great play to extend and then to deliver a strike to Flemming who ran a great route.
