Bob Pruesse over on Ohio Wrestling.net just posted he’s hearing Oklahoma State May be close to landing BOTH Braxton Amos and AJ Ferrari, to go along with Dustin Plott.

Word is Ferrari is walking around in the low 190’s right now and could go 184 for the Cowboys. That would give them like 6 guys in The top 30 for 2020.

Would be big blow to the Buckeyes losing on Amos with his ties to the Buckeye recruits and Karchla family.

They have no room for Amos unless he can go 197.

That could work. Not like Doucet is going to block any of these dudes at 285. I don't see Plott holding 174 for very long, so I expect a Cowboy bulk job for Amos. Problem might be if Surber outgrows 165/174. He's really tall.

But this would be a killer lineup in 3 years (assuming Daton Olympic)

125- Burks
133- Fix
141- Trevor Mastrogiovanni
149- Jordan Williams
157- Travis Mastrogiovanni
165- Wittlake/Surber
174- Surber/Wittlake
184- Plott
197- Ferrari
Hwt- Amos

Ferrari just gave an interview today where he said that he's currently 220 pounds and wants to get up to 250-255. I think you can scratch 184 off the list of possibilities.

If OKST gets both, Amos will be their 197 with Ferrari at HWT.

He also said that he and Bo are close friends and that he is looking forward to his Penn State visit.

He’s another Cassar!

No knock against Seth who will be a shoe in for AA, but I agree and have said all along (with plenty of critics saying I was full of crap), Ferrari will be an animal at heavy. Probably the best shot at tanning Handle in the future. When he says 250 I believe it and he will be a rock like Cassar only bigger.

We are less than a long shot for him, but...

Singletary always struck me as a low-ceiling tweener ...
When I left my house today
Somebody approached me
Carrying something that looked like a camera
and "would I like to see, a picture of the future?"
...
And he pushed a button
I opened my eyes
And here's what I saw
It was a picture of the future
And Ferrari was in it:

Boy oh boy is this off. Though, if there's one team that can suck Ferrari (who's walking around in the 220's right now from the horse's mouth) down to 184, it's Oklahoma State.

Seriously.......at Okie State? Me thinks 165 is in play for Ferrari. :)

Then again......he might do the Okie Bulk Job and wrestle at 284.99 lbs...…...bench press Rhode Island ....and still lose to Cassar when it counts.

Third thought......If he DEAD lifts Rhode Island......he has to go to THE Dead Lift U and get stuck on bottom long enough to lose.

Ferrari isn’t coming to PSU, but if he did, it’d be Beard at 197, Ferrari at Hwt, and Seth Nevills at Fresno State

Correct. I am a big fan of all the Nevills brothers but they represent a different style of heavy that I think is slowly becoming a thing of the past w.r.t. competing for titles.

I wish they would just add a 220lb class, but short of that I much prefer the strong athletic heavy in the mold of Snyder, Cassar, White even Gable. Much more exciting.

I think Seth is s a sure fire lower AA whereas I see Ferrari as a top 4 to finalist contender with only Gable in has path to become a multi year champ.

A definite must get if we have a chance but unfortunatley I don't think so
