AND NOW... 2018 NCAA WRESTLING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!

Hmm--that didn't seem too bad--decent recruiting pitch if you ask me. No, not a lot o humility on display there, but geez, the dude just turned water into wine for his entire team like 30 seconds before.

No kidding. How do you even calculate the value of Bo's recruiting pitch for PSU there! I have a feeling he just earned a larger percentage of the slush fund for next year. ;)

What I am hoping to find now, is the match synched up with Byers' radio call...somebody out there is getting this set up right now.

Mark Hall particularly impressed me last night. He remained in high spirits just moments after losing to Zahid. He was one of the first to congratulate Bo after Myles got stuck. At the post tourney social he said he wasn't defined by wins or losses. Not many kids can remain so positive in that situation.

First off, I still find absolutely nothing wrong with what Bo said. The kid was fired up and so emotional and he defended Penn State. He didn't denigrate anyone else.

Second, it's kind of obvious that his burst of emotion, and Cael's big shows of emotion as well, were prompted by the over the top, limelight seeking Tom Ryan and his team as well, all year long. Boasting before the Dual when he knew Nolf was out. The "not the way I would have handled it" BS, the WWE robes, the grabbing every bit of on air time he could and on and on and on.

The team was fed up with it, that much was clear. We did our talking on the mat til that very passionate interview, and as I said, even then nothing inappropriate was said.

I think it's funny that people are so upset with Bo's comments after his win. It's nothing but sour grapes and obvious jealousy. People are getting bent out of shape over a guy telling the truth. Nothing Bo said wasn't true.

If it upsets you that PSU is the gold standard and Bo told you as much, then you're a loser.

It's Cael. Don't let his beating your Buckeye's constantly make you a bum of a fan. If you're going to congratulate him... at least don't be two faced in doing so and use Cael's proper name when you refer to your "Daddy".

And tell Kyle Snyder... that when you have the the all time rivalry in collegiate wrestling as he stated... the winning rival can't dominate you like Penn State has dominated Ohio State the past 8 years. Ohio State... 1 title and Penn State having 7. When you're a true rival... the winning percentages aren't so disparaging.
They were thinking about B1G titles, 5 to 3 in favor of PSU.

ESPN had a segment that continuously showed ONLY Ohio State wrestlers commenting on the rivalry with Penn State. Frankly, it seemed odd to me. Shouldn't you have both sides represented in such a segment? Also, the constant Ohio centric coverage, the non stop Tom Ryan sound bites, the crooked seeding, the home mat advantage, kids turtle-ing against us, the booing of Cenzo in the last 45 seconds of his DOMINATION of Imar, and on and on and on....Damn right Bo went off, it was a release of joy and emotion in the face of the whole world rooting against you. Frankly, Ohio State had it coming.
I have a hunch that the PSU guys decline to participate in that hype. Let your wrestling on the mat do your talking. We can now ask Martin how many lights there are in the Quicken Loans Ceiling.

The only ones complaining are Bucks and Hawks fans for different reasons. Bucks fans just saw their slim chance at the team title evaporate, and Hawks fans are so fixated on PSU recruiting the last thing they want to see is Bo’s pitch.

Iowa fans are really a classy group. Takes about a minute after losing for the ped state insults to fly.

If the Bucks want to bitch they can start with Hayes (2 pts), the Jordan brothers (7.5 pts < 2017), and Moore (5 pts < 2017). Not the best tournament for those guys. Also, NATO got a default and then, like Martin, was counting lights in his big match.

Iowa fans were looking for something classy, like throwing an assistant coach who begged for some attention.

Also, the crowd was still roaring, and he felt he needed to yell over the din. Spoken in a lower tone... what he said was just fine and nothing out of the ordinary. An excited wrestler who had just pulled off a miracle for himself and his team.

That’s regarding what he said doesn’t change the fact i tip my hats off to you guys said the same thing to Cael when i saw him and the team walking to the hotel

Kind of a douche move to call a guy a douche for celebrating his own team. Didn’t talk anyone else down or target others like a certain heavyweight on another team who only wrestled enough to qualify for titles. Now, that’s a douche move.

I have one concern about Bo's post match statements. Have the "That's what we do!" t shirts been screen printed yet?

Stop already. If a wrestler from another team said what Bo said, you and many others would jump all over them.

Given the moment, nothing wrong with what was said at all imo, though I can see other’s perspective. No need at all for the “loser” comment.

Watching Cael's press conference on Trackwrestling also gives you the distinct feeling he has no love lost for Flo in particular. He blows them off for all intents and purposes. Was also funny to see him watching the TV showing Snyder/Coon while the press conference was going on.

Bo was an f-bomb away from going Full Chase Utley and Full Jason Kelce.
i'll keep it clean for the kids in the room:

No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us we don't care. We're the
Penn State Nittany
Lions, no one likes us we don't care!

I think there’s some truth to the anti-Flo vibe. When Cael was at ISU, he provided Flo some good access to his program. JMO, but as Flo became more TMZ-like, I think he’s soured on them. He certainly doesn’t give them the access they’d want (unlike Tom Ryan).

Nah. I don't give a damn what anyone in the moment says. It's their time, not mine or anyone else's.

They don't like Flo. Go out of their way to not talk to them. I don't know the history, but it is a fact.

The hate spewing over at HR and The Mat is comedy gold:

--10 plus pages of hate for Bo on HR
--Another fresh new bundle of Sandusky and Ped State stuff on HR
--The Mat with new comments about Zahid and how he's their new fave-rave
--The Mat claiming Zahid isn't any bigger than Mark
--HR rolling out the "Cael cheats" angle in scholarship money yet again
--Fresh new Andrew Long references, now 7 years and going, lol
--HR invoking Picos' name again with the Zain hate
--The Mat invoking Pico also
--"Disappointment" in the "short match" on The Mat i.e. Bo/Myles
--HR nearly unanimous hating us more than Ohio State

And much, much, much more. I knew the hate would tasted delicious, but this new fresh batch of tears, whining, and hate coming from the usual places, is a delicious new recipe! Dee-lic-ious!

Bo walked the walk before he talked the talk, and the talk was not about himself but in in support of his team and the Penn State program. He made us proud during and after the match. Thank you Bo!

I have to think Flo was poised to do one of their features on the “Greatest dual meet team of all time” and national champion Buckeyes. Oops.

Come on, they can still do a NatureNut feature.

Title it, "2018 Buckeyes, the Best Second Best Team of All Time?" Tommy and Kyle can discuss in detail how they worked it all out and went all in to be almost as good as Penn State.
