Have not heard this anywhere. Just pure speculation on my part.
Both programs are dumpster fires.
But FSU has such a better tradition and more to offer football wise.
As far as recruiting goes there is a pretty good base down there.
As far as ties to the area he did coach the Bucs in the NFL While he may not have ties there like he does in the NE its certainly not unfamiliar territory to him.
Not saying he will go but can't hurt for either side to reach out and at least talk and gage interest.
