Another school with higher expectations for basketball

Wow, miles fired at Nebraska...

And he DID make the big dance. How untouchable is Pat Chambers, who HAS NOT made it, going on 9 years? Talk about job security, hehe

When I heard the news that Miles was fired, my first thought was, "Who is Nebraska going to get that will do better there than Miles"? It is funny how your perspective changes when you look at a situation from afar.

Sorry but there is no way Nebraska has more money than PSU to get a basketball coach. The excuse factory for what ever coach is up here doing a job with zero accountability is beyond the pale

Could we spend more? Of course. But they won’t. So that’s reality.

That's what I meant. They won't spend more, period.

I think the AD is just really cash-strapped, and basketball is paying the price more than any other sport. Every single extra penny goes towards football in the hopes that JF won't leave for greener pastures and better facilities.

If a change isn't made, it's a pretty good bet that the results aren't going to change much either. At least Nebraska is going to make a change, to try to change the results. Penn State isn't even going to try.

Yes they do.They have this guy named Warren Buffet plus their attendance is double what's going on in the BJC.

Looks like Arkansas also has higher expectations of their basketball coach. They have fired Mike Anderson who coached at Arkansas for eight seasons and finished his tenure with a record of 169-102. He took the Razorbacks to three NCAA Tournaments - 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Bet Anderson, Miles(Neb), and Johnson('Bama) all wish they had taken the job at Penn State where with their success records, they would have lifetime employment contracts. Penn State MUST raise the bar.

Sadly, no one in the media holds Sandy's feet to the fire. One of the jerks at penn lies should press her as to why she retained Chambers when the guys at bama, nebraska, and cal, all with better records, were just canned.

Why was joe retained in 2002?

No they don't, not to any significant degree, not yet anyway. Seems to be more of a Creighton fan.

You're comparing JVP's situation w Pat Chambers'?

Just checking

Sort of like you comparing psu athletics to whatever school fired whatever coach this week?

Do those schools all have lower expectations in all the sports they finish behind psu?
