Any rumblings on when we might get some 2021-22 scheduling news?

I'm not a 501(c)(3) charity but as I'm now in State College and lack season tickets, I will happily accept any last-minute donations anyone needs to unload. Or if you need someone to sit next to and buy you a pretzel.
I thought you were the Board's official photojournalist and had credentials for mat-side.

For Columbia, yeah. Penn State is another matter--there's probably as many media at a Penn State dual than there are spectators at a Columbia dual.

So to that end I'll also happily accept 'donations' of credentials. I'm credentialed by USA Wrestling but that only means I've cleared the background check and taken the SafeSport course, if I'm going to sit matside I need to be shooting for some media entity. I believe I'm as good as anyone working (I shot professionally for over a decade) but it's no longer my day job, so I'm not interested in nosing my way in where someone is trying to make a living. But there's still a lot of opportunities and room.

Your work is top notch, Tikk. There's always room for quality in the marketplace.

I have season tickets at a few places myself for that exact reason. When you can't or don't go donate them.

i've been trying to contact the upenn ticket office to see if they're offering season tickets this year but haven't gotten a response in 3 attempts so far

Not sure whether this might help you:

When one donates to NLC then one can participate in pre-sale for standing room only tickets.

This can be done on the phone with some patience required. Alternatively, being in State College, one may do this at the BJC main ticketing office (assuming COVID protocols haven't paused this option). I understand a small line could form for this or any later sale open to the general public.

Again, all it should take is an active NLC membership through a modest donation. To date, I believe PSU doesn't factor in total NLC points to prioritize standing room only ticket purchases.

Tikk, I may be able to help you out on some less popular matches. (My son wants the better matches to attend).

When we get closer, I'll get in touch with you. We have a common friend and I'll go through him.

One warning, the seats aren't the best in the house. I joke that the view from the handicapped parking outside has a better view of the mat, but they are in the building.

I figure that with the donation to the NLC that it would take to get my points to where it would need to be to move to the top of the list for season tickets, I can just buy on Stub Hub. It's way cheaper!

Per a ticket agent at ASU, we are hosting Arizona State, although I looked at their schedule and it is not listed. Only home matches are shown, no away matches. Edit…per Doug at Sun Devil Athletics, December 12th.
I texted Doug at Sun Devil Athletics and told him the ASU match isn’t on both ASU and PSU’s schedule. He said they couldn’t agree on a date that worked for both teams. Apologies for the false alarm...

Why do I feel like I know exactly where your seats are?

The BWI Wrestling Room Times needs a photographer.

At 1:00 mark, Brands complains about going to Ames 2 times in a row.

Umm, isn’t PSU going there 2 times in a row?
I asked Cody if we can get Iowa back at PSU next year, I think you were there and heard the extended answer but in short, PSU extended round trip airfare to Iowa and brands said no way.

I wasn't there. Thanks for the reply.
This will be my last trip to Iowa City for a dual ;)

What are the chances that PSU can get a thank you sign on the scorers table of every home dual meet that reads something like, Thank You (enter team name) for coming to wrestle us, Iowa couldn't make it.
There are several things I'd like to see added to improve the dual atmosphere at Rec--and funny signs held up by fans is on the list. Also: max of 2 "We are" chants per dual, and yes, I want us to adopt the Iranian chant, but that's probably a bridge too far.....
