No inside info, but I noticed and the commentators mentioned that since he was walking on it with little to no braces, it was likely precautionary. If I were CJF, however, I would have said something to the effect of "I don't comment on player injuries" and let Wisconsin worry about whether Barkley is going to play or be at 100% for the championship game.
