Anybody watch the Pens beat the Fly Guys over the weekend?

Great game. Our d was very very sloppy and it showed on the scoreboard. Fleury didn't have a chance on some of those. But there isn't much better than beating the flyers. Oh, and my God do I hate their commentator (the one who shouts every single time the flyers shoot), my God man, get it together
Yes my thoughts are that no matter all the grief they take, the flyers fans have more class than coming onto this board and gloating anytime they beat the PENS. Just sayin....
Not sure what to think of the Flyers. 4-5-1 so far this year. Playing some of the young guys so expect improvement as they gain some experience. That being said, I just don't know if they have enough scoring to really challenge to be an elite type team. Giroux is getting a little old in the tooth and is just not an 'elite' player, he is good, but is not going to carry a team like a Crosby or Ovechkin or XYZ can. I know the general thought around the organization is they brought Ghost up last year and were going to bring up most of the other younger guys this year and see what they had and then this off-season make the moves for the 2017-2018 season to take it to the next level.
Points - yes....goals - maybe.
Ovie doesn't like to pass, so his totals are always very goal-heavy. Long way to go, but Ovie has 6 pts in 8 games, while Sid has 5 pts in 3 games. Quick math says 87 is averaging almost a whole point better per game, but again there is a LONG ways to go.

Crosby as usual got the better of them. Good hard fought win with continued great goal tending. "Camp" with dish has cut into actual hunting time.....'

The Pen's are a good team right now, but not a great and consistent team. Waiting for them to play a full 60 minute game. They will win games based strictly on their overall talent level; but the defense has not been consistent. Really need Kris Letang back to help the team.

Hockey regular season games in October -- they barely register with me. Shame that the two teams played so early in the season. Didn't watch a minute of it.
Barry Melrose opined on opening night of this NHL season that the Tampa Bay Lightning were likely the best team in the League this season. ?? Now, he could be flat ass wrong, but I have to think there is something to buttress his optimistic outlook on Tampa Bay. Did they upgrade their roster in the offseason?
