I'll admit, I'm on it somewhere.
Checked it out a few months after my divorce 5 years ago.
Quickly realized most of the women on it were fake, and moved on.

Anyone else on it? Married and worried?

No, I'm not on the Ashley Madison list. I've never used the site. However, if you're going to use the site, only a fool would use their real name and banking information. Go get a pre-paid visa gift card at a gas station. Pay cash for it. And when you sign up, use an alias.

If you're going to cheat on your spouse, the least you can do is be savvy about it.

Where you a mod or advisor on that board perhaps!

You seem to know the 'ins' and 'outs' quite well sir!

Haha, agreed. I don't believe anyone dumb enough to have been using their real name and banking info would've been smart enough to be getting away with affairs.

Also, if I read one more thing about how insane it is that "32 million people use the site, OMG everyone in the country is cheating!!!" my head might explode. I would wager that for every 1 real account on a site like that, there's 30 that are fake. Yet everyone acts like there are actually 30 million people actively using the site.

You just let the cat out of the bag for all the big name social media sites! Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook etc. They all have the same thing in common. TONS of accounts, and probably more fake accounts than those who are truly 'active'. If ever there was a self-perpetuating house of cards, 'Social Media sites' would be it.

Not sure about that. Almost everybody I know...work, family, other is on Facebook.

And as Mark Zuckerberg said "all those dumb *ucks trust us with their information" and "yeah, i'm going to *uck them" about facebook users.

I joined when I was like 19 looking for local Cougars lol. Never paid, just browsed the profiles for shits and giggles. My gmail is on the list, but nothing else.

Josh Duggar reportedly spent $1000 in over a year on the site. He must have been doing well there.

This is ridiculous a site that ensures confidentiality is now having all its members names leaked.

Thousands of clients using the affair-oriented Ashley Madison website listed email addresses registered to the White House, top federal agencies and military branches, a data dump by hackers revealed.

The detailed data, released Tuesday, will likely put Washington, D.C., on edge. The nation’s capital reportedly has the highest rate of membership for the site of any city.

Indeed, more than 15,000 of the email addresses used to register accounts were hosted on government and military servers.

Ok this is going to get serious, Kudos to the hackers.

I've never been a mod on any website or forum and like I said, I've never used Ashley Madison. I've never been married, either. It's just common sense that if you're going to do something where anonymity is priority number one, and if you were to get caught it would uproot your entire life that you should take every single precaution there is that you don't get caught, even if the place was to get exposed. I've never cheated on any of my significant others, either.

It's just common sense.

Good sound advice ...I knew there was a reason I came to this board. :D
