In looking at Stubhub the only sections that haven't hit the secondary market are those being allocated to PSU. Wisconsin had a few extra days which makes sense why their corner is already being resold.

I was hoping to get some insight from you folks regarding the allocations. My group requested two groups of 6, and we were approved. Have heard rumors that the alumni gobbled up our allotment.
  • Do we know how many are being allocated to Students and where they'll be sitting?
  • I assume this will all be done according to point totals, but I'd imagine the number of tickets requested could also dictate where people end up
  • Wondering how many of you also used PSU to get your tickets? I just received an email with an image stating in short that "You've been approved, and will receive your requested tickets, however we're currently working on seat assignments" ... I'd post but don't have a link for it online - They said it could be a couple days before they have it all sorted out!?
  • For those of you who were approved what are your NLC point totals? Wondering if there was a cutoff?
  • Has anyone received their seat assignments yet?

Nice of PSU to let folks know they will be getting seats, however I can't say i'm shocked that I'm left feeling annoyed with the process.

Any insight?

Got a notice they received our request but cannot guarantee we will receive seats. Process leaves a lot to be desired

My only advice is if you care about where you sit, do not buy from NLC. Too late for you now.
I did for 09 Rose Bowl, and got second row on the field in end zone, and couldn't see a damn thing.

From experience, I never purchase through PSU or any other affiliated organization.

Watch the StubHub prices closely. There are a lot of tickets that were held by OSU and UM fans that didn't come "on the market" until today and probably not fully until tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is your day to study StubHub, watch specific seats of interest for price movements and transactions and perhaps pull the trigger. If you don't see tickets moving quickly, keep waiting unless seats that you love become "affordable".

For games like this, I generally never purchase until Wednesday afternoon, at the earliest(*). For those who are patient, some really good seats will be traded on Friday morning and afternoon.

(*) Your potential difficulty is wanting 12 tickets. Look for groups of four and expect to pay a bit of a premium for getting 5-6 together.

I just got an email saying my 2 tickets were revoked to accommodate NLC requests. Did anyone else get the same email?

Are you an NLC member? If so, I'd be on the phone screaming. If not, I'd still be on the phone jamming their asses about their use of the word "revoked" which implies that tickets were "awarded and then pulled".

It's Penn State. I don't think Sandy or any of her bloated staff knows what the word "revoked" means.

Don't sweat it...you can do better on your own with StubHub or an agent. Just familiarize yourself with the stadium, sections etc.

Still waiting-- just curious if you would share your NLC point total. I thought i was all set but now getting worried.

No, I'm not an NLC member. But I checked my confirmation email and this was at the top...
Thank you for your Penn State Athletics Order or Request.
If you placed an order for PENN STATE FOOTBALL Post Season Play: Championship Game or a Bowl Game, PENN STATE MEN'S BASKETBALL Madison Square Garden or Big Ten Tournament, your order is an application, not a guarantee of seats. Seats to be assigned at a later date based on Nittany Lion Club priority. Should your order not qualify for tickets, a full refund will be issued.

I don't see the word "revoked" in that email response so I suggest you seek out StubHub or this link

http://www.bigten.org/tickets/big10-tickets.html

P.S. I thought the prices of the B1G's aftermarket reseller "vividseats" were somewhat high compared with StubHub, but that was as of yesterday. Your experience/comparison may be different.

I have 5 going from Iowa. Looking at stubhub now. Hotels are out it appears so we are driving towards home after and stopping at cheaper place.
Any idea at all where a "PSU friendly" section would be?

Hit the link below... the sections in the right hand lower corner that don't have any available seats at this time are what Penn State received in their allotment. On the map their in white... (Ironically enough)

Anything on the East side will majority PSU.

I just picked up 3 tickets through seat geek. I'm good. I won't ever buy through PSU again. EVER.

Something's amiss. I looked at Stub.hub late Saturday night, and as you mentioned no other PSU sections have opened, whereas the Wisky sideline has completly opened up (only 117 and 118 were decently available Sat pm)

Wealthy PSU alums have panicked and are snapping up sections 240 and 241 ( club seats) . Prices, already high, aren't going down in those sections.

I'd be searching on both sides, especially the middle tiers on the Wisconsin side.

I also noticed that the Wisky side of the stadium is much cheaper than the good guy's side. I picked up seats in the 400 level of the end zone. I like the end zone as long as you are up high enough to get some depth. You can see things develop nicely in the end zone.

Damn, I guess I'll just wait and see then. I'll keep watching but if only thing out there is junk we'll stay home.

To answer a question in this thread, i have 440 points in the NLC and got the message from them that i did get tickets but as stated above have to wait for seat assignments to then print the tickets. hope this helps

The NLC process is a train wreck. I have over 1200 points but got my tix via the secondary market to control my location. I do get my away tix from psu for regular season games but would not do it for a bowl, Ireland or this game.

A warning. Don't buy tix in the 100 level sections in the lower rows, sight lines are poor in Lucas Oil.

Just got confirmation that 200 NIttany Lion Club points was the cutoff to get the tickets.
I got them through a buddy of mine. His family has had tickets for 20+ years, I'd imagine they have a ridiculous amount of points.

I would get them on the phone... that doesn't sound right.

Did you check your junk mail?

Checked with the NLC, they confirmed that I ordered and my point total, she said I will be receiving my tickets later this week by email. Sounded like they gave me tickets after confirming my info just now...maybe I slipped between the cracks. Glad I called, I can now call my grandson and the other students.

also asked for my seat numbers, told me they aren't assigned as of this time.

Apologize in advance if this is the wrong spot.

I have 2 tix section 319 row 5N seats 13,14.

Face value is $95 a piece. If anyone here would like to make an offer, let me know. I'm a Buckeye, but my Grandfather graduated from Penn St, so I'd rather you guys than a cheesehead.

* I will take $65 a piece plus shipping *

I will need to ship by tomorrow if anyone is interested.

My group of 5 is now 4. Prices on stubhub have went down, but not much on there in the Penn state section. Any advice? Should I wait until Thursday?

Tomorrow should be your day but don't be locked into sitting on the penn State side. The better values are on the whisky side. If you can hold off until Thursday you'll save even more money, but it's kind of s game if "Blink"

The reason we wanted the PSU side is because the only time we can see PSU is here at Iowa, and we are always surrounded by Hawk fans. It'd be nice to feel like the home team for us one time. =)
Last PSU game we went to was 2008 @ IA and we all know how that ended. Had to leave early so we didn't get trampled.

Thanks for the input, I'll try and play the waiting game.

I have 8 tickets in section 645. I'll sell them at face value if you're interested ($75). I have 8 on the other side in section 608 as well. I bought them as a backup plan if MSU went. Last year we couldn't get tickets for less than $200.

BTW ticket prices are down to $25 on stubhub currently. These NLC seats better be good!
Just read on twitter that the tickets will be assigned and available for print later today. I think the NLC is having some issues so take that with a grain of salt.
Thank you much PSU0622 for the info. I'm trying to get the tickets to my grandson & 3 other students by Friday. Hopefully the seat NLC seat selection is decent. I guess We'll see later today.

My seats are locked in. I have 4 front row seats in the Gambit Recliner Section. This exclusive Section has no fans in front or behind me, and it includes 2 private bathrooms, plus an a la carte menu that features prime rib, shrimp, and crab legs. A variety of Beers, and a bottle of Dom Perignon (1998) are already chilling. Festivities begin at 5PM on Saturday. (Note: Section is full.)
