Taken from ESPN's Website:

Bryce Harper RF
AB 71 Hits 21 2B 6 3B 0 HR 4 BA .296 OBP .438 SLG .690 OPS 1.128

Andrew McCutchen CF
AB 70 Hits 18 2B 5 3B 1 HR 3 BA .257 OBP .409 SLG .614 OPS 1.023

The thing that is "odd", has been there for every MLB player who's stats are tracked on the ESPN site - and has been that way all year.

I still don't know what the hell OPS means, and I've asked some baseball fans to tell me. They were no help.

Sum of OBP and SLG.
OPS means On-Base Percentage Plus Slugging.
Are you sure they were baseball fans?

SLG and OPS computed too high?

For OBP we have to know how many walks. And I get the same number when I calculate slugging. Not sure why they’re too high.
Oops, I messed up...after recalculating the slugging percentage is high.

For OBP, you also need hit by pitch and sacrifice flies in addition to the walks..

Why is the sacrifice fly counted but not a sacrifice bunt or a "suicide squeeze" bunt? Is it because the batter is not deliberately giving himself up as he might be on the 2 bunts?

OBP is unchanged by successful sac bunts.
Wikipedia: Sacrifice bunts are excluded from consideration on the basis that they are usually imposed by the manager with the expectation that the batter will not reach base, and thus do not accurately reflect the batter's ability to reach base when attempting to do so.
