Anyone Notice Lamont Wade Had 11 Tackles???

Including 4 solos plus a sack. I suspect he's glad he left the portal. By far his best game, albeit based on a limited sample size.

Tbh, I think he’s been playing really well for the last 2 years. If he had a few interceptions, he would be getting a lot more publicity, but that doesn’t change that he’s been good in coverage and strong against the run.

Really wish/think he should have RS’d his first year, but it is what it is.

I do think that he could be better in coverage, but he’s a good player, no doubt. I pull for him to do well. He is a vocal leader, works hard, and is respected. These are attributes that one wins at LIFE with.

Best game of his career so far. Hope it’s a sign of more coming. He’s a leader out there. Glad he stayed.
Yeah, great to see his enthusiasm out there. For whatever reason, he was not a happy camper in his previous two seasons.

He was all over the field and it was his best game so far, but eleven tackles ?!
He probably just needed time to get acclimated to safety.

Good to see. What he seems to do best is come as a blitzer to utilize his speed and tackling ability.

Wasn’t it said that he wasn’t so fast? I thought I read that here in the past year.

I agree his true FR year was wasted, but he's making up for lost time now.

Note that I said the same thing about Miles Sanders. Now looking back on it, a RS year for him would have been entirely useless.

I just think with Wade being a little undersized and being a guy who likely won’t be declaring after this year, it really didn’t make sense to not RS. Of course, I don’t know the details/specifics of his situation.

Clairton is a small school and he was Mr Everything. The classic big fish in a small pond. Penn State football is 180 degrees from his high school experience. He would have been the perfect candidate for the 4 game redshirt program now in place. Here’s wishing him continued growth as a player, health and success on the field and in life.

I noticed his improved play, I noticed his sack, I did not notice I noticed it 11 times, good for him!

I noticed as well and was very impressed.... seeing him fly around the field this season is proof that his head in the game and will be seen as a leader. It is too bad he does not have another inch or two on that frame to give him a better shot at the next level.

He wouldn't be staying past next year, regardless. So a RS year would have been a waste. He was decent on STs as a FR, at a minimum.
