ku was down as much as 14, but went on a 21 to 7 run to send it to overtime. It wasn't the cleanest game... Ku has missed a ton of free throws and WVU couldn't handle the ku press. Great heart by KU though and they won in OT. Sportcenter lead in said that WVU went all Atlanta Falcons on Kansas... pretty darned funny!

KU was down by 14 pts with 2:45 to go in regulation and had not lost two in a row at home since 1988-89.

Pretty amazing.....pretty damn amazing!

WVU doesn't have any stars, but they are what AL McGuire used to call street fighters.

They beat KU in Morgantown and last night was their opportunity to sweep the basketball blue blood of the Big 12.

In all honesty, KU didn't bring their game for the first 35 minutes but when they needed to play, they did. Their press really stifled WVU - no easy inbounds pass followed by double team on whoever got the pass. It also helped that they sank some critical 3s in the final 2 minutes.

Lots of respect to Kansas and their coaching staff. It looked like their goose was cooked.

I am pretty sure Huggy Bear has a special clause in this contract, that if they beat KU, he gets a bonus of like $10,000 just for that one win.

WVU under Hug has had a consistent strategy to play physical and foul beyond what the officials would normally allow and thus force the officials to set a limit for the game early on. And sometimes that forces the officials to slightly modify that limit upwards playing into Hug's hand. Combined with a very up tempo press and style of play he has WVU as a consistent winner with less overall talent than other teams that are having similar success.....
