Congrats - you are still # 2 after a big win against a ranked opponent with the game featured on Gameday. Lots to be happy about with this team ... in the real world.
But when you look at the fantasy world of AP voting support, almost nothing changed about our AP votes. We picked up twelve additional votes overall and a handful of votes relative to Bama but a really bigger oddity is our differential of vote spread over GA increased only by 20 (out of 1,444). Remember we whipped MICH and GA had a bye week! In contrast, the other big winner from last weekend, ND, picked up 268 additional votes or about a third more than they had the previous week, due to a big one over USC. This all makes absolutely no sense to me.
Is this evidence that the BIG market demographics really don't support PSU or is there some media explanation that this is not a big deal? Would love to know - more than curious here.
