Penn State outperformed expectations during the 2016 campaign. The Nittany Lions shocked Ohio State, and then came back to defeat Wisconsin in the Big The Championship Game en route to a Big Ten title. Expectations couldn’t be higher entering the 2017 season, especially with one of the best backfields in college football returning — running back Saquon Barkley and quarterback Trace McSorley.

Penn State will be good in 2017, but not good enough to beat Ohio State on the road or compete for a national title. Unfortunately for Nittany Lions fans, those are the expectations given what the team did last year. Penn State has a legitimate shot at a 10-win season, but that won’t be enough to satiate the fans, who got a taste of glory last year, and expect the same results in 2017.

Well, that was a fact-free hot take. Can't even list any reasons why we won't be "good enough". The 2016 was a fluke narrative doesn't take into account most of the team will be back and better than they were last year.

Don't tell Rutgers fans that Washington may be overrated.... they'll be pulling a Dumb and Dumber and will be thinking they have a chance in that game in Week 1.

Their best chance to be favored in a game comes the next week (I think) vs. a 1AA team. Could be a double-digit win for RU with a late score to ice it.... R! U! ;)
