Arizona State at Ohio State, 7pm ET tonight on FS1

Solid win for Decatur.
If Decatur ever finds or develops lungs... he’s gonna be a monster. One of, if the not THE most athletic 133 in the country.

I was impressed with his mat wrestling tonight. His lungs and late stalling calls are gonna ding him several times with high paced opponents this year unless he gets that shored up.

Decatur missed weight once or maybe even twice so far, I have a feeling the lungs aren't going to come this year. But then again he has a couple more months to adjust to the weight cut...

Decatur looked really thick. Pletcher in the next match looked like a toothpick after 7 minutes of Decatur.

Historically OSU kids don't always look like well conditioned machines in December or January. They are almost always well conditioned by March. Hell, there was even that one year Kenny Courts was in shape by nationals. I believe having Kenny in good shape even won Tom Ryan COY honors.

Just think if they had Kerkvliet at HW. With Decatur, they might have actually been a contender this season. No wonder Tan Tom was so pissed when he left.

I just looked as well. All of the rankings I found have categories and BOTH ASU and Schreyer are in the top category. Because the schools in each category are listed alphabetically it appears that ASU is ranked higher, but that's not really the case.

So, @jpsolo , it's fair to say that PSU has the best Honors College:p...but so do about six or seven others.
Perhaps it was measuring the differential relative to the rest of the school.

A wrestler Nick Lee’s caliber doesn’t play into anyone’s strengths, but he isn’t the type of wrestler that gives Pletcher problems.

The two types I’ve seen give Pletcher issues besides Micic who just was better period, are tall lanky guys or especially defensive wrestlers who make Luke get to his offense.

That was the last year Luke however, offensively he’s a different wrestler this year, like night and day. I do however think counter wrestling is, and always will be his wheelhouse.

Every time Lee faced off against McKenna last year I feared Lee to take over in the 3rd with his wind and conditioning, his gas tank is elite.

In fact, I would say many on here would agree Lee doesn’t have, or at least last year didn’t have a vast offensive arsenal, but he breaks opponents with his conditioning.

Pletcher won’t be overwhelmed be Lee’s pace, and will welcome his aggressiveness as he’s a counter wrestler at heart.

If this match was just a style matchup I would favor Pletcher every time. But it’s not, and Lee’s skill level will negate any style matchup favoring Pletcher. I was beyond impressed with his (Lee’s) recent Senior level performance.

I have these 2 splitting their regular season and Big Ten matchup, and I have their best of 3 match a tossup at Nationals in the finals.

Kinner hurt or just didn't work out at 133?
Weight cut is too much for him. Ryan actually mentioned him going up to 157 as 141 and 149 are entrenched with Pletcher and Sasso already.

And Decatur looked pretty good for a true frosh in his 1st dual beating a ranked wrestler. Trouble getting out of bottom as everyone would expect of a true frosh.
