Army!

Army beat San Diego State in the Armed Forces Bowl, 42-35. Army went ahead on a two-point conversion with 18 seconds to go in the game. That made it 36-35. Then Army ran back an interception for a touchdown on the final play of the game.
Excellent news brother Bob. Ready to enlist with me? :p:p Well show those young'ns some real attitude.

I all seriousness Bob, I was born at the West Point Hospital near the parade grounds. Since the time of the "rising star step.eng69", the hospital was relocated to the northern location on WEST POINT. I think!!

I'm an Army-Air Force brat.

I guess it was time for them to start anew after you were born. ;)

FOOTBALL.

San Diego State's Rashaad Penny had a big game today. Four touchdowns. I didn't watch the entire game, but the announcers were raving about him in the second half. Army's coach said that he went for two at the end because he didn't want to give the ball to Penny in overtime. Wise decision.

Underdogs should always go for two and try to win in regulation. The slowdown after the 4th quarter ends, the additional coin toss, the two possession set up, it all favors the better team. Momentum is best capitalized upon.

I don't know what the final tally was re: # of plays, but at one point, about the time it was tied at 28. Army had run 81 plays to SD State's 24, Penny was averaging about 20 YPC for SD...... fun game to watch.

It really was a wonderful game to watch. Tremendously entertaining. A great win for the Army.....who’d have given them a chance to beat Navy AND win their bowl game.

The only time the game got ugly was when they showed the SDS cheerleaders. They were so ugly......well, I need a Rodney Dangerfield line here!
