Apparently my notes post from last night didn't inspire warm, fuzzy feelings about Rivals250 DT Mazi Smith's official visit, and maybe that was on me. Coming off our conversation I felt Penn State did exactly what they needed to do to be a serious player here. Mazi's not a real rah-rah type, but he has several comments in this article that are thoughtful and noteworthy IMO:
