I must say, I liked the angle of the Daily Nebraskan article, but was disappointed in its execution. It basically just very briefly discussed the single highest ranked conference opponent for each Nebraska wrestler. The article had the potential to be much more thorough and interesting.

I totally agree. When putting together the post, I actually had a short comment about Daily Nebraskan article indicating that it was so-so at best, but decided to remove that and let everyone here make their own evaluation. As you note, the article had potential, but could have been executed a lot better.
