I'll add to this on Thursday, as more articles from Media Day are likely to be posted. It was Iowa's Media Day as well, so I'll throw in some articles about them.

Enjoy

Coos Bay World: Travis Whittlake honored by USA Wrestling
(interesting article; hard not to be impressed by Travis)

Post-Bulletin: The Rich Get Richer: Berge picks Penn State

Black Shoe Diaries: Oh, Hello: Wrestling Edition
(article on Berge's verbal)

PennLive.com: Just hours after Cael Sanderson talks recruiting (and much more), another star recruit says yes to Penn State wrestling
(nice integration of the Berge verbal and things CS said about recruiting at PSU's Media Day on Wed)

Des Moines Register: On Iowa wrestling's 'elephant in the room'

Landof10.com: Iowa wrestling eyes return to traditional spot atop NCAA standings

CDT: Lineup changes abound for defending NCAA champions

Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier: Hawkeyes talk accountability, ownership

Lewistown Sentinel: No. 4 Penn State wrestling has high expectations for this year

Articles added Thursday morning:

PennLive.com: Penn State gets commitment from top-ranked, 160-pound wrestler Brady Berge

PennLive.com: Penn State wrestling lineup features 5 parts sophomores, 3 parts freshmen, all parts talented
(hard not to like that headline, even if it's a tad long)

The elephant in the room article was especially interesting. Maybe I'm reading in too much, but it seemed they were surprised by the questions about Penn State. As in ......"we weren't thinking about Penn State because it's not useful, they are too far away"...
Yes, everyone said the correct official words, but again, it seemed like it was not a topic they were actively dealing with.

.
Not sure what you are referring to as I didn't see anything like that in the Des Moines article. And the quote you made that I bolded definitely wasn't in the article. Maybe a different article?

That was Tom Brands in his interview. He had a lot to say about Penn State.
