"This, again, is the exact same excuse thrown out about Paterno. He did what he had to do but because no one came back and said a crime had been committed, and that Sandusky wasn't arrested, how could he have known? It's a bullshit excuse. The credibility of Urban Meyer's assistants are an extension of the coach himself. We have enough evidence to suggest his wife thought the allegations were true enough (again, someone coming forward and stating this and this happened, which is exactly what happened with the Sandusky claims) and there was a pattern of these accusations, dating back to 2009.. Meyer knowingly hired him at Ohio State DESPITE the red flags of the accusations...and continued to keep him on the staff despite even more accusations that were directly made to his wife.
The fact is, in 1998, Sandusky was investigated for reports of inappropriate contact with children. He wasn't arrested ... only admitting to showering with the boys but not touching them. The fact he wasn't arrested, or charged, for the harsher accusations doesn't absolve Joe Paterno of anything.
Urban is a rotten human being. Frankly, I think he'd be perfectly okay dismissing the accusations of his daughter if she came to him and said she was being beaten by one of his players, especially if it was a star player. He doesn't seem to have a conscience. At all. And all the excuses in the world won't change my mind on that. He's no different than Joe Paterno. Both decided to do the bare-minimum. Meyer should just be lucky the woman wasn't killed. But then, I'm sure if she had been, he'd only get a four game suspension."

You are pontificating about something you have not researched in any depth. Does this issue strike a nerve? Paterno was dealing with a former coach, Sanduski was gone in 1999. Sanduski was investigated by CPS for allegations (in full disclosure, I do not know if Pa. law required a joint investigation with law enforcement at the time) and the case was closed. The Grand Jury convened in 2009. He started a charity to give him access to his victims of choice. He was a child predator who had the resources and the wile to accomplish his goals.
Urban had a current assistant who got hooked up with a nut bag who made so many false reports that the police would no longer respond to her complaints. He pulled the plug on him when they had to lock him up after she set him up to violate a protective order when she could not drive a few blocks to the neutral meeting place for a visitation exchange.
Enjoy the view from your moral high ground. From what I've gathered from interacting with the others on this board I believe I am the only one here who had 28 years of putting predators and wife beaters in prison and can tell the difference between enablers and other people caught up in their messes.
The only thing that these cases have in common is that the people caught up in their messes are high profile football coaches...
