At the risk of offending the overweight and/or cetaceans,

It goes without saying that a large swath of society just plows through, its nothing to be proud of. But the universe is much bigger than that. Much of our diets are out of convenience, which really sucks for non meat eaters like me, because when I eat outside my house I have limited choices almost everywhere, thank goodness most liquors are vegan!
You know why there are laws about filming anything inside animal farms/mills? Because they like the people asleep. The pharmaceutical industries biggest customer is food mills, not humans. Great stuff.
I'll leave you with this:
If you ate a burgers and eggs for every meal all day every day, it would be highly likely you would get ill or diseased and probably die much earlier than a human being should.
If you ate beans and bananas all day every day, you would be much, much, much more likely live a long healthy life.
Make what you will of it.

Are we supposed to feel bad you for that society doesn't cater to a choice you've made? No one is requiring you not to eat meat.
I do want to point out I called you out on your agenda here almost immediately.
And, again, moderation is best.
"Make what you will of it"--that you've been conned into believing what you're doing is best.

Education is important.
Eating animals is lie but most people have swallowed it hook line and sinker.
I never told anyone they shouldn't eat meat, if I did, please find it. I just laid out some info, it apparently harmed your sensitive side.
I did make an opinionated remark about unseasoned meat not tasting good which society at large definitely agrees with, otherwise it would be served plain regularly at establishments, which it isn't. I am not aware of any humans I know that enjoy or order meat not seasoned or marinated or more, and I never did myself. So maybe that's just my bubble, I apologize to the raw meat eaters, you're regular carnivores!
But as someone said, who gives a shit what Brett Beliema eats, its probably punishment for that bullshit onside kick some years back.

Is this real? "Eating animals is a lie" then "I never told anyone they shouldn't eat meat" smh
I'm not sensitive--you're the one complaining society doesn't cater to a "choice" you've made. I just think it's funny you couldn't own what you were doing and still can't.
You're not educating people here but at least you learned meat can be consumed in a healthy manner although I don't think you believe that and are just saying that.

Its just a fact that the average restaurant menu carries little to no variety of plant based, not a complaint. Similar to offerings of a plain meat dish, not many.

The argument for eating animals is muscle proteins not taste. You degrade your conviction when you can't even offer its strongest point.

A human body can healthily consume anything in moderation, even cigarettes. Many a smoker lived much a long time, but the odds ain't good.

The human body is the highest form of evolution except the planet itself.
Animals are like humans in many ways, and humans are like animals as well...Earth's creatures.

Let's recap the facts. These things are not my opinions:

Plain meat is not a popular form of consumption by the population at large.
Nearly all flavors of food come from plant based herbs and spices applied to enhance the flavor/taste of most any food.
The energy and land required to harvest animals for the population of Earth is unsustainable.
Food mills are deplorable, dens of sickness and disease.
The Pharmaceutical industry's largest customer is the food mill industry.
A strict all meat only diet will sicken and disease the human body.
A strict all plant diet will make the body thrive.
Elephants, Gorillas, rhinos and hippos are earths strongest animals, all plant based.

No one is telling you what to do.

I generally agree that meat without seasoning or other added flavor is not very good, while fruits and veggies have their own flavor. But that overlooks the fact that for a lot of people, the appeal of meat is its texture. Of course, this is all subject to opinion.

I don't think things are as simple as you're stating but without delving into the details of that, I'd be interested to hear what you think of so-called "fake meat," or "cell agriculture" or "plant-based meat" or whatever you want to call it. Some of them use plants and whatever else to mimic real meat. Others actually try to grow meat, using cells from a real animal and growing it in a suitable medium. It's hard to say whether this is actually meat or not.

But whatever, I'd be curious to know what you think. My guess is you won't like it. I don't know if the current iteration is good enough or not, but IMO it's a matter of time until they invent something that is better than whatever exists now, be it plants or animals. The natural things that exist on our planet make up a tiny percentage of the sample space of possible things to eat so it seems unlikely that the best things for humans to eat just happen to be in that tiny percentage.

I grew up in a rural area and all of the farmers I knew, including my grandfather, ate bacon and eggs for just about every breakfast and ate some type of meat/chicken dish for lunch and dinner as well. Even something like pasta always had meat sauce. I dont know a single one of those farmers who lived less than 85 years, most of them in to their 90's.

I'm waiting to hear about everyone's positive experiences eating meat without all the "stuff" we put on it to make it taste good? I guess I'll just have to wait.
I do. We raise grass-fed beef, so it helps that I have a high quality source. Most ground beef commercially sold is garbage, and most of the population in this country don’t know what quality meat tastes like. Chicken needs some seasoning for me, but if beef is good I will happily eat it with no seasoning/alterations.
Disclaimer: That may indicate that I am weird. 🤷‍♂️

A high quality beef has flavor. As does elk and venison meat. Chicken has practically none.

I always thought that over weight coaches set a bad example for their players. But these guys spend incredible hours in the film room…studying the next opponent…..studying their own film to fix mistakes and analyze who and what works……studying college kids to see who to draft……studying players on practice squads and cut lists to see who they can pick up. Probably drink coffee by the gallon ……or Red Bull or other caffeine drinks with tons of sugar…..and constantly munch on junk food. Bad diet plus too much butt time.
You can watch film while walking on a treadmill or riding a recumbent bike.

Coffee has zero calories (unless you add cream/sugar).

Sugar free red bull exists.

And think they do probably eat too much take out/hotel food, eat like their players (who are burning way more calories than coaches are and/or trying to put on weight) and possibly "stress eat."

You can be a coach and be fit. Hell, I even appreciate that as people age they won't be shredded (e.g. CJF has a "dad bod") but if you are >300 lbs you aren't even close to healthy and aren't setting a good example.

Most of those guys were just too stubborn to die. Those farmers were certainly a special breed of people.

Some of the hand your dealt in life is genetics. Some people seem to be very prone to high cholesterol and heart disease. A sedentary lifestyle is another killer.

All true but it is easy to succumb to bad stuff like we all do. And if you spend many hours a day in a dark film room, the odds are against you.

They are also highly likely sleep deprived which is a serious problem.

My father made door-to-door deliveries most of his life. Heavy smoker and heavy evening drinker during his 50+ year working life. Pretty much quit smoking and drinking a few years into retirement. Diet: Coffee for breakfast. Ham sandwich on white bread for lunch. Meat, potatoes, and a vegetable of some kind for a late night dinner, which would put him to sleep. Rinse and repeat.

Lived until his mid 90s.

The difference? No deserts or sweets. I think he never developed the cravings that many of us have.

My mother? Staff assistant (at a desk). In retirement, like a lot of older women with time on their hands, she ate sweets all of the time. No exercise. Needed to have every major joint in her body replaced.

What would you do having had parents like that?

Here's a news flash for you. There isn't an animal that is similar sized as your average human that isn't way stronger than a human. Humans are weak. All our modern conveniences have killed the instinct to survive as well as the muscle structure our distant ancestors had. Evolution has grown and developed the human brain, not body.

Humans are evolutions outlier. Every other species, it's the strongest who breed the most and survive the longest.

An average chimpanzee will kick the shit out of any person alive. So will a whitetail deer. Go back 10000 years and our ancestors will be way stronger as well. If it wasn't for the human brain, we would be pretty low on the food chain.

Yep, a 50 pound coyote lives on meat….and will easily kill any vegetarian human. Or meat eating human. Unless the human is smart enough to be armed with some serious weapon.

Or smart enough to start a fire to keep the coyotes away. Or smart enough to build a house with doors to keep the coyotes out. Or smart enough to domesticate other dogs to protect them from the coyotes. Or smart enough to put GPS trackers on them so they know where they are at all times.

I'll take brains over brawn any day.
