We park in the 200 row of Lot 41 (south of the stadium). We pulled out immediately after the game and were stuck in our lot without moving for 1 1/4 hours trying to get to Porter Road. By time we got to Porter Road nearly all the lower rows had exited. This wasn’t our first, close night game. In the past, there were two or three exits from Lot 41 into Porter Road and we were always able to exit fairly quickly. Now there is only one exit at the southern most end of the lot which has really changed the dynamics. I have no idea why things were changed but am afraid of another debacle following the Indiana game. Anyone else experience this situation.

We were in row 6 lot 41 and yep we sat for a while too. That is crazy they only had one exit there. We are usually in 34 and getting down the hill with traffic merging from another lane on the hill and then the lower lanes in 33 put it in a gridlock. I’ve always bitched they need traffic handlers when the lots empty besides when folks come in. They were also alternately stopping traffic from the 41 side and across Porter on the 45/44 side exits. I was originally going to turn to go to the right to get out but decided to go left and then was stopped. Walking back to the car, it appeared that cars that went right and then down the road got out faster

We were in the 1500 row in lot 41 and we exited on University Drive in 5 minutes. We obviously stayed to the end of the game but left immediately at the end.

I was in Lot 12, sat in our parking spot for nearly 2 hrs before we could even move.
As was I. Do they keep lot 12 locked? It was crazy watching traffic move on Park while not one car moved in 12 for 2 hours. Luckily the win made the 2 hours tolerable!

That lot is notorious. We parked there for the Ohio State game in 2005 and sat in that lot until about 2 am before we even moved. Plus we stayed at a B&B in Hollidaysburg.

Our spots our in the 1900 row of lot 41. We left the stadium after the alma mater and were at our house in about 25 mins. That includes walk to car, exit to university drive then to our house. they really need someone directing traffic at dower and university. a pedestrian is going to get hit there with no control.

Lot 38. Stayed until the very end but left immediately after the last play. Walked at a normal pace to my car and was out heading east on Park Avenue in just a couple of minutes. Only one other car in front of me leaving the lot. I never had to come to a complete stop until I got home.

Now I remember why I haven’t been to a game up there since 1970.
Do you guys realize they show these games on TV?
Right….and have your partner spill beer on you and take 3/4 of your seat….don’t forget to turn the volume up to 99…and get that game day experience!

seriously, take the game day bus.

We were in 34 and did not move for at least 1 1/4 hours and were told by someone to try going on the lower side of Medlar Field to Porter Road, which we did. We could still be sitting there if we hadn't done that. Like you mention, 33 empties out before 34 on nights like that one and it empties onto little Orchard Road to Puddintown Road to College Ave - which means it empties VERY SLOWLY.

Exiting stadium parking AND stadium egress were not designed for the "everyone leaves at the end of the game" scenario.

Took all of halftime to get to the restroom, took 2 hrs to get out of lot 12 and it was worth every second of it. My 11 and 13 yr olds first PSU game (We've live overseas and on the west coast their whole lives) and they had an amazing time. A little waiting is a minor inconvenience for making lifetime memories with your kids.

Getting out of parking lots is unpleasant. I have gotten stuck in Lot 12 a couple times waiting for at least 2 hours. There was a blowout game and I couldn't even get out of my spot because there were cars in front of me trying to leave and was grid locked. I waited until the game was over and all the pomp and stuff was done to walk back to the car. The people in the car blocking me said they left at the beginning of the 3rd qtr and hadn't moved. Luckily I live locally and walked downtown and took bus home. Came back 4 hours later and was able to retrieve the car.
