Agreed. They might have given it to Zeke simply because Dallas made the playoffs while the Giants are a dumpster fire. Similar to how in NCAAFB, in order to win the Heisman your team has to be winning.
To me, the big difference is # of games: Barkley is the only one who played all 16 games, and did so behind a vastly inferior line.

I think Barkley is by far the best player in his draft class, but am guessing that Mayfield gets the ROY award. The Browns sucked so bad for so long that it makes his work look all the better by comparison. (Not to Barkley, but to what the Browns had before Mayfield.)
People can spin it all they want, but when a rookie is one of the top 3 players in the league at his position and makes the Pro Bowl, he’s ROY. Mayfield’s not even in the top 15 at his position.

If he played 2 more games he would have easily had more rushing yards and just as many if not more receiving yards.
Elliott had exactly one stat better than Saquon. Total rushing yards. Saquon was equal or better in every other category.
Barkley was the best all around back in the NFL this season. He’s the best receiving RB in the league and with a good OLine, he would be the best runner as well. But to get things like All Pro, he needs to continue to do it. If Barkley repeats these numbers next year, I bet he makes it.

He is not a top 10 QB. Even if his stats were top 10 (which they weren’t), I’m not talking about having a better year based on numbers, I’m talking about being better. Barkley is equal or better than the other top two RB’s and flat out better than every other RB in the league. That can’t be said about Mayfield in any way.
Agreed, but that is not just mayfield. drives me nuts that the press wants to call the next game as "Rivers versus Brees". Browns added a kid that is going to be an all-pro corner and a RB who is going to the pro bowl in Chub. Not to mention the fact that they fired their coach and almost all of their success was with the interim coach.
You are 100% correct... was just stating another fact (which, had I read up the board a bit, I'd have seen Midnighter already addressed). The thing with Zeke is he put it on the turf 6 times... regardless of whether they got it back 5 of them, everyone knows he can be made to cough it up. Not so with SB (hopefully that trend continues
