2014 US News and world report rankings (Barron's first year):

Penn State ranks No. 8 among all public national universities in the U.S. News & World Report "2014 Best Colleges Rankings," released today (Sept. 10) -- up five places from last year's results.

In the overall "National Universities" category, which includes both public and private institutions, Penn State has risen to No. 37 overall, up nine places from last year. According to U.S. News' methodology, schools in the "National Universities" category emphasize faculty research and offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master's and Ph.D. programs.

2020 US News and world report rankings:
Pennsylvania State University—University Park is a public institution that was founded in 1855. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 40,363, its setting is city, and the campus size is 7,958 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. Pennsylvania State University—University Park's ranking in the 2020 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, #57. Its in-state tuition and fees are $18,450; out-of-state tuition and fees are $35,514.

And then he votes to shut down sports while opening up the college campus to students. He has been a total failure for this once great institution and for the alumni that take great pride in being called a Penn Stater.
