I would like a wrestle off between the coaches representing each of these kids. That or a coaches clenched jaw staredown. Beau is a shoe in.

I'd take Flo's predictions with a pound of salt as they did not even bother to determine if the wrestlers are actually eligible for consideration for an at large. They included Kemerer and Camacho from Pitt, both of whom were replaced in the line-ups. Also, they have Decatur in -- did he weigh in and forfeit? if not, shold be ineligible.

In the 149s, neither Hunsaker nor Scharenbrock meet the prerequisites. Bartlett and Omania have to stay in top 33 to remain candidates.

Thus, there are really only 9 wrestlers for 6 spots and being an alternate may be critical as (1) Alirez has only wrestled 1 match since January 8 (an extra bout against Utah Valley's sixth string 141 pounder) to keep him eligible for a coaches ranking and (2) Cobb is at Navy, which has shut down all sports activities through at least Wednesday.

Last two spots Omania (unless losing record is viewed as a veto) and then Crooks/Bartlett/Scott toss-up.

You think so? I was thinking with the high probability of newer, later dropouts, it'd be a massive pain in the hiney to redraw brackets every time. Not being argumentative really, just thinking I dont' really blame them for drawing an earlier, hard line after which dropouts just become byes.

Feeling bad for the Navy guys (9 qualifiers), sports (except for mens b-ball were shutdown on the 28th through this weekend. No practices and limited move!ent on campus due to Covid, if they are allowed to travel then have to show up at NCAA's and test and then quarantine in their rooms for 24 hours. They will have gone over two weeks since their last practice and might have only 1 prior to Thursday's start.

I saw a video posted over on the mat that was like a coaches meeting that said the same thing. So basically you have a week after 6 p.m. tonight that kids could be out for whatever reason and they will not be replaced in the bracket. I don't know that it addressed what would be done with seeds if somebody like a #1 got hurt in practice and couldn't go.

NCAA could've plug-and-played without redrawing brackets.

Unless a top 12 seed withdrew, it probably wouldn't be much difference.
