Based on what's posted on Pennlive, the OSU retro unis contrast better with PSU blues than white

I'm not sure where it stands with PSU color choice. I prefer the blue, and the shade of grey of the OSU retro seems to contrast better with the blue.

Ohio State will have the same contrast issues as Penn State. Don't know why this is an issue. Maybe the conference should not have approved the OSU jersey color but how does it give a competitive advantage?

I really do not believe Unis are an issue. On the other hand, I believe changing helmets is a big issue for player recognition. I don't understand why any team would ever do that.

I read an article today that PSU's issue with the uniform wasn't that they are grey, but that the contrast between the grey shirts isn't enough with their numbers (had nothing to do with PSU wearing white). The reason for the number contrast is so the offense can see who is on the field and adjust their assignments, it has nothing to do with seeing a receiving down field.

I don't think this gives tOSU an edge over Penn State... they could have the scout team wear grey uniforms this week, right? My issue is that why was tOSU authorized to switch to the grey uniform, but Penn State not allowed to use their Blue Jerseys?
