Basketball is better....

Jameel Brown of Haverford School commits to PSU. 6'2" PG, 4 star recruit, #112 overall in country. #29 in position.

That is three guards verballed so far, and Oweh's brother is supposed to be a CB to PSU - also a guard.

Good for Shrew, but could use some size under the boards.
The size challenge has been our forever weakness. We tend to get projects who maybe develop (Cal Booth) or overachievers who at their best still underperform vs their Big opponents ( Ed Vogel, John Harrar types). The game has changed but we need to overcome this perpetual disadvantage.

We are not even in his top 10. I think he is UK bound.

We’re certainly in his top 10
“In June, Lively named a top 7 of Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, and USC. He's taken official visits to North Carolina, Kentucky, and Duke.”

that said, the G league just offered him $500K. With all of the intended jinx of a Cronk lead pipe lock, I will say “He Gone”.

We are sitting in 3rd place right now for him, from what I hear, but if his AAU teammates commit (like this one), maybe those high-quality guards could sway him
Would be nice to get an official visit from him, in addition to plenty of other trips to campus.

Far from a basketball guy, but it sounds like the early returns on the new basketball coach are pretty favorable, huh?

Lively is likely (nice word combo) to be a one-and-done player.

Why not spend that year close to home where family and friends could watch your games plus get to play with some of your summer league pals.

One question for Lively is what is the best place to develop your game in one year prior to the NBA. Can the new coach make the case?

Ok, time to step up to the pate. In the era of NIL, the McAndrew board needs to raise a couple million to hire a spokesperson 😉

Can I even make a joke like that without bringing on the heat?

Has our men’s team ever had a guy with a G-spot before?

Good get for Shrew! If we can get Lively or another quality big, we will have a good foundation for this new regime.

Apparently Lively has narrowed his list down to a top three. Kentucky, Duke, and Penn State. Let’s hope that Derek thinks more with his emotions that his bank account and gets nostalgic for his mother’s alma mater.

And Brown (and hopefully Oweh, too) can recruit him, being AAU teammates

Hopefully, he will be attracted to being the guy that changed history at PennState vs being just another one of the cogs at basketball factories like Duke or Kentucky. Really a chance to go down in history and be remembered for a very long time.

What does the staring lineup look like now, and who is our go to guy when we need a last shot at the end of the game? Also, who are the key bench players to see many minutes. Thanks

Looks like Brown dropped in the rankings from around 76 to 148 on rivals. Now who didn’t see that coming?
