Of course we are Whigan, we want to know who it is!Whigan?
It's not Frank's.Thinking OL first...JUCO or Franks...but maybe a surprise DL.
Well, he had a good opening so I hope he sticks.Penn State would be the 3rd school he's committed to in 4 months.
He was a North Carolina commit. I never heard he de-committed.
See the concern and it's legit....but he more than held his own at the Opening. JF does know how to recruit....PSU > UNC >IU....so we'll see.He was an Indiana commit before that. Have to trust the staff but I’m a little underwhelmed. Was hoping the last WR spot would go to a blue chip like David Bell. Kid seems like a serial commiter.
One site says he’s 6’1” 183, and another that he’s 6’3” 190. Hoping for the latter.
Not sure, but 2 WR's from the Opening is a good class IMO. Dunmore is legit and Simmons if this is legit is a good close out there. Let's not forget last years haul of Shorter, George, Hamlin, and Dotson. James is recruiting some freaky athletes.Tape of the Opening has him looking around 6'1". Nice compliment to Dunmore. Wonder if WR is full up for 2019 with the two........
If Porter ends up in the class, it’ll be as a DB, not a WR.Our staff really doesn’t seem high on Porter.

We are.....better!
Emmert or Delany passed away?
Freeh hit another tree?
Barron choked to death at a buffet?
Sorry, my goof. It’s a “We are.....better!”
Not a “We are.....way way way better!”
I agree. If space becomes available for Porter, it likely wouldn’t be until shortly before the February signing day and might be dependent on how the 85 man roster shakes out after the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up finding room for him in the class by the time it’s all said and done, though.I think there was probably a WR spot available and an athlete spot. If Simmons took the WR spot than Porter could come in as an athlete. As a DB they seem to have had a lot of players higher on their board- Wilson, Hellams, Kelly, Cine etc... Not even sure they would take Porter as an athlete now before they know what Bell and Cine might do.

Who knows....one thing is Franklin tells kids no more visits. So either he is in or out....we'll find out this fall I guess if he is taking another visit.Does the kid have a dream school who hasn't offered? Is there a playoff team that he's working his way up the ladder for?
Regardless, how can anyone fault a kid for flipping his commitment when he's got multiple coaches telling them how "this is the place for you!"?

Yeah my bad on Hamler. For some reason I always group him in with the 2018 guys, maybe the injury. We’ll know soon enough if they are taking a 3rd WR.HamLER was the year before, but it does look like there is a great crew of WR's coming along. Hippenhopper and Sullivan-Brown as well.
We have been spoiled to have some very productive bigger WR's in Godwin, JJ, .... , but CJF is out there just looking for playmakers.

Barron is the "front office" man for the folks you listed, just as Erickson -get his name off OUR creamery - was. When you knowingly, for a sum of $, operate under folks like this doesn't that qualify you to be grouped with them? This is funny and I enjoy your posts, but it is a little harsh to lump Barron in with what I think are really bad people. For Ed Ray, Fina, Corbett, some BoT folks, our girlfriend Lou Anna, have at it.
While Barron has perhaps disappointed some, in my book he is nowhere near the level of those others.
Love the dog pics, BTW.
Barron is part of the continued protection and "cover up" that was crafted to protect members of the OGBOT. He accepts a humongous amount of money for "not rocking the boat." If he is an honest gent, then he should endorse releasing the Freeh Documents and the A9 report. This is funny and I enjoy your posts, but it is a little harsh to lump Barron in with what I think are really bad people. Oh, I would like for him to do things differently than he has. I wish he was more aggressive and assertive. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but certainly publicly I would like for him to do more to defend the university and to challenge people and beliefs.Barron is the "front office" man for the folks you listed, just as Erickson -get his name off OUR creamery - was. I agree. I think it is way cool that the staff is so organized in recruiting. Their ability to identify talent early (that comment may not apply in Simmons' case) is amazing. The wave of offers that recruits receive from others after PSU offers is affirmation.Back to Simmons, his performance and reviews from the Opening were quite impressive. PSU continues to stockpile great WR. A great pick up by the staff.
