Before 2014 how often did we every play them in those three sports in a year if ever? Did we wrestle against Maryland in 1990? If so that would probably be the answer since we beat them in basketball and they were on the football schedule so we know the outcome of that game.
Right on point. Prior to Maryland joining the Big Ten, PSU played them in basketball about 15 times. Can't even begin to guess how frequently they wrestled.
BTW, the 1990 victory was part of the 89-90 season and the 89 football game ended in a tie. You'd then have to go back to 82 when PSU beat Maryland in both FB and BB, and they may have played a whopping one time in BB in between.
I guess the question should be reduced to when was the last time PSU beat Maryland in basketball, since victories in football and wrestling are commonplace.
I'm waiting for the year we beat them in chick tennis, baseball, and field hockey in the same season. The BOT will be celebrating for sure.
