you wanted the best.. you got the best.. the hottest post in the world..
@Nate Bauer/BWI Staff asks..
What specifically should the Nittany Lions be worried about with GSU's wideouts and secondary, as James Franklin has repeatedly noted this week?
Trickery, or chicanery as some of guys like @Howie'81 might define it. If #80 frosh WR Matlin Marshall (Evans GA very own) enters the game, Grant Haley better maintain his eye discipline. Matlin has is own special play, he lines up right at the X, within an instant after the ball is snapped he drops straight to the ground screaming in pain, all the while the RB Taz Batemen takes a pitch left and rockets down the sidelines while everybody is focused on the flailing Marshall. (this play upset the Emory Riddle Airplane Mechanics in our debut season)
The Panthers are No. 127 of 129 teams in college football for team rushing. Do you expect those numbers to improve against the Nittany Lions?
In group meetings this week GA Ty Nemec was given the chance to define goals for the team, all this week everywhere the team goes, they see at 126 ... if you don't dream it you'll never achieve it.
Some other key numbers.. #36 last week on Team Movie night the coaches ordered 31 pizza's.. they ran out before ET even drove thru the full moon.. can't have that happen again.
You'll see our RB's wearing a #911 on their wristbands.. this is to honor the first responders from EMS who will help our QB Connor Manning survive this weeks 2nd quarter 3 and 42 weak side dog... it doubles as a phone contact for our trainer.
If you were scouting the Panthers, would there be any particular areas you'd focus on exploiting against their defense?
Our front 11 is vulnerable to the run, pass, RPO, wishbone, stanky leg, fumblerooski, west coast, east coast, QB sneak, wheel route, QB keeper, waggle action, fly sweep, single/double/triple option, and the deep ball, about the only thing we can stop is the Wing ( @SJLuvsLions ) ..... our toughest play to defend is VICTORY FORMATION, teams like Penn State tend to run this play in the 2nd quarter.
The Panthers coughed the ball up four times against Tennessee State in the opener. Was that a one-off, or should Penn State have some takeaway opportunities this weekend?
Are you talking about the Carolina Panthers?? Cuz ain't no fumblin gone on up in here... when I agreed to this exercise I was expecting civility.. no need to go all David Jones on me.
Lastly, my prediction. Georgia State 31 Penn State 21. Herschel Walker will be too much for the young PSU DE's, while OLB/DE Justin Houston will terrorize Trace McSorely all game long. Beware of our ex-QB who now plays WR.. Heinz Ward.
