Bella Notte Pizza In Pittsburgh

Are you familiar with/like DiCarlo's Pizza also in Washington, PA.

I previously had access to some prime deer hunting land in that area and we would always stop there for a pizza. It was very good.

This was close to 20 years ago.

This is obviously not the type of Pizza that Portnoy would review, it is a very good and unique pizza from my youth.

On the to go orders, they used to place your pie on a heavy piece of carboard and wrap it with old newspapers and tape it up.

VERY generous with the toppings....
There are multiple DiCarlo's in the Ohio Valley. The WSJ ran an article on Ohio Valley Pizza and DiCarlo's was the most mentioned. Here is another article on the topic.

Closest Di’Carlos is in Wheeling area

Yes, been there many times. whether playing as a kid over at the Brownson house or in the midnight men’s league there, would always stop and get a few slices on the way home.

Are you from the Bethany W. V. area?
I’m like 3 minutes from Osso’s

I run hot and cool on this guy, Portnoy. First, he's a huge Michigan and Red Sox fan so he comes off as a frontrunner. But then he goes and does something like this and totally redeems himself.

Very cool. If you don't want to watch the entire thing, he gets a pizza and sees they are going to go out of business at the end of the year. He goes back in and asks the owner how much money he'd need to stay in business for a year. the guy stammers and finally settles on $60k. Portnoy says "done" and they exchange numbers.
