Forgot to mention this. Brady and Mark were in Rochester on Saturday, doing a clinic before the InterMat JJ Classic. This is a really cool tournament that helps fundraise for the JJ Kukowski Foundation. There was a brief Q&A after their clinic (while most competitors were warming up) where a kid asked why Mark went to PSU instead of Minn. Mark answered (paraphrased) that when you get to be his age, you have to do what's best for you, and that he felt a certain way about being at PSU. He said he also loved the way he felt at Minn, but it was different. I really wanted him to go full heel and say, "I wanted to score bonus points and open up leads,", but he's too modest. Regardless, so cool of them to come back to MN and do a clinic at a preseason tournament supporting a good cause.

Lots of good midwestern competition. One big result, and I'm biased, but Zach Glazier took out Peyton Robb of Owatonna (SDSU commit) in OT, 3-1. Both guys felt each other out in the first period. Glazier escaped and started to turn on the jets in the second, but both guys scrambled something crazy. Robb rolls around and escapes in the third, tying it up. Again, more deep singles by Glazier and scrambles. Finally, in OT, Glazier gets the takedown. It's a long day, but everyone was crowded around the mat. There was an element of Albert Lea (Glazier) vs Owatonna (Robb) rivalry going. They'll probably be at different weights during the season, but a big win for Zach. He'll be at Super 32 this weekend. The only video from Track won't work, and my words don't do the match justice.

Were there any, say, vodka drinkers in the crowd asking how much $$ Hall and Berge were making for their services at the clinic?

A joint NCAA-IRS task force was set to be convened, but Vodka's post failed to garner enough Likes and the subcommittee decided to table it.

Joint subcommittee meeting at the moon tower did happen though.
