Best analysis I’ve seen of SMU vs PSU

So your point is we can't run on SMU? What's your bigger point? You are scared we are going to lose?
I think there is a valid argument to be made that a) they are in a pass happy conference and b) teams come in attacking their CBs. Both of those could hide their run defense's vulnerabilities.

I am reading that their LBers and S are all under 6 feet tall so guarding Warren, who is now 6'6", could be quite a challenge.

Thanks for posting. Love to have analysis from actual football fans who have studied both teams in detail.

Nice insight that Harrison Wallace might come up big in this game. I would add Evans if he's healthy. The PSU wideouts have gotten no respect all year and I think they've been steadily improving.

Interesting that SMU is very tough in the middle of the field -- PSU will have to stretch the field horizontally.

PSU D will be tough up front between the tackles, but PSU D could have trouble in tempo.

I'm not super confident about this game. PSU played really tight against Oregon, did not play their best football with the B1G championsihp on the line. This is home field, that will help but the bigness of the stage could lead to a lot of jitters. This team just does not have a lot of experience winning big games though they have pulled out some tough ones this year.

This team isn’t in the same league as Oregon. Penn state will push them around and will win this easy

I understand your concern but SMU and Oregon are very, very, very caliber teams

Steadily improving? But what measure? They have been horrible all year.

Disagree. We played one of our best games of the year offensively against an undefeated and top ranked Oregon. If you told me we would score 37 pts vs them, I'd take it every time because I don't believe our defense would give up 45 every time.

I think we can beat SMU handily because of that game. That game doesn't make me worry that SMU will be too fast for us or anything of the like.
