If you think Corbett should get a freeh pass then you believe one of the following two things: 1.) Either he had no knowledge whatsoever that while he was attorney general his attorney general's office had been investigating Sandusky for two years and then as governor he was completely unaware that his attorney general's office was on the verge of arresting Sandusky amidst a publicly gratuitous circus sideshow or 2.) that even as a trustee of the university Corbett had no obligation whatsoever to warn the university, or at least his fellow trusteeship, that his attorney general's office was about to unleash a tidal wave of shit upon the university. If it's the former, than I'd say that Corbett is way too much of an imbecile to either hold public office or to hold a position as a trustee of the university. If it's the latter than Corbett's interests were irretrievably conflicted and the rules of ethics dictated that he had no choice but to recuse himself of all proceedings at the university and failure to do so was an unforgivable and unconscionable breach of his ethical duties to the university. We all know how well that turned out. So which is it, slugger? Either Tom Corbett is an imbecile or a complete and total scumbag. You decide. You can't have it both ways. I don't believe that for a second but even if true Corbett's ethical obligations mandated that he recuse himself from all university business regarding Jerry Sandusky and that he not take part in that meeting, or any preparations for that meeting (do you really think we don't know the role he played?), held on Nov 9, 2011. What was he doing there?

And like Baldwin he believed the board had been informed???? It was her Goddamned job to tell the board and she did so at a meeting earlier in the year....or at least was intended to. Spanier couldn't do it. He was under a Grand Jury gag order. Spanier left the room per his gag order. It was Baldwin's job to spill the beans. How could she possibly not know what she did and did not tell the board about the investigation?

Wow, amazing how 'ole two-faced Tommy Corbutt's story has morphed over time....his initial position was that he signed the multi-million $$$ State-grant to The Second Mile in the Summer 2011 and didn't say anything to his fellow PSU Trustees about the Sandusky investigation, because he didn't want to alert Sandusky to the fact that he was being investigated in regards to Victim 1. He then changed that story because it was subsequently revealed that Sandusky knew he was under investigation for V1 all the way back to the Spring 2009 because of the way the State Investigation was initiated (e.g., via V1 making a formal CSA complaint to Clinton County CYS and CYS forwarding the CSA complaint to DPW which subsequently conducted their own investigation and hearing and INDICATED Sandusky in the Spring 2009. They also turned the matter over to law enforcement - the Clinton County DA who referred it to the Centre County DA, Michael Madeira - who was Tom Corbett's right-hand man at the OAG before winning election to Centre County DA....he also is married to Matt Sandusky's sister. Michael Madeira turned the matter over to Corbett in March 2009. The most Senior Executives at TSM have testified and documented that Jerry Sandusky himself came to them in the Spring 2009 and told them he was under investigation in regards to V1's CSA Complaint and that is when they cut his access off to children at TSM supposedly).

Corbutt has morphed his story on this matter and is clearly lying just like that other serial "intentional misinformation" giver, Cynthia Baldwin.

Spanier discussed the Sandusky investigation at the Board meeting but downplayed its relevance to PSU saying it was more a Second Mile issue.
