Going to the game this weekend. Read about some of the traffic issues around Lewistown. And of course the ongoing construction at Potters Mills. Wondering what the best way is from Harrisburg area? Just press through on 322? Get off Bellville/Reedville exit and go McAlvey's Fort? How about 11/15 to 104 to 45 into Boalsburg? Any thoughts from those who made the trip last week? Thanks.

IMHO... you probably won't have a problem , traffic should be spread out for night game.
I do take Bellville/Reedville up the mountain if I leave right away after game.

Yeah, poorly worded question on my part. Was really thinking more of after the game.

You won't have any issues coming back down 322 east. The Lewistown stuff is going west and the other minor lane closure is not a real big deal and it's both ways, but only for about an 1/8 of a mile over a bridge.

I have done all of those, and as someone else mentioned, if you leave early enough, you should be fine. Traffic will be spread out.

After the game, however.....

Thank you.

I like to head up 81 to get some white square pizza at Mgillacuttys in Scran-ihn for the tailgate, then from there I've relied on the kindness of strangers to get to SC, it's worked out well 53/67 times.

Thank you.

I take what I said back. You WILL have an issue getting up over the mountain immediately after the game. Unless you have another way over the mountain the two lanes from DT SC to Potter Mills is going to suck. After you get up the mountain and it hits two lanes you'll be fine.

I recently moved to Harrisburg and it makes night games an absolute nightmare (that's why I am not going to the game this weekend). I got home from the OSU game last year at 3 am, and that's with leaving immediately after the game.

I'll do the drive for Michigan this year, but Buffalo is not worth that experience.

Check out the routes bolded in Madsol's post.

As an alternative, go up Rts. 11-15 then hang a left and go to Middleburgh. Continue to Rt. 45 and take that West to Boalsburg. Reverse it coming home.
It is longer but normally no congestion and it is about the same amount of time. I used to leave the Harrisburg area about 1 1/2 hour before game time and I got to the Beav about game time. Was seated by Kickoff.
