Best reference: ASWP, sPitt or 5B?

I'm not a huge fan of nick names or edited names like that for opponents. Just call them Pitt and trash them on the field, in the class room, and on the recruiting trail. That is not to denounce all trash talking, I just don't think slightly changing a name to make it sound derogatory is the best form of trash talk.
How about the team we used to care about... of course that would mean that some of you would actually have to stop caring. I get (and often appreciate) the posts about tOSU and Michigan. I can even see the occasional post about Maryland or Rutgers, because they are in our conference. It's crazy how many posts there are on this board about Pitt, typically saying how irrelevant they are. I got news for you guys, you are keeping them relevant by talking about them.
You have to admit, 5B has a nice concise ring to it. And even Peak could spell it.
What's really damning, though, is that they were behind Syracuse. Syracuse! I'm not sure any insult cuts deeper than that.

Personally, one of my favorite t-shirts was the one featuring a Nittany Lion sitting on the John with the caption, "Flush the Pitt". The takeoff of the anti-drug campaign, "Friends don't let friends go to Pitt" also a good one.
I remember the really old days with the Shitt on Pitt toilet paper. I've kicked myself ever since for not buying a roll for posterity.
As for names, I'm partial to Oakland High. Someone on the board came up with it--I can't take credit.

Back in the old days when pitt was our main rival it was possible to make money on the game. For weeks before the pitt - PSU game I normally wore my "Shitt on Pitt" button to work. A pitt buddy got an idea and had "Piss on PSU" buttons made up. He paid $1 apiece for about 1000 of them. Prior to the game he sold them outside the old dilapidated pitt stadium for $10 apiece. He sold a lot of them and then ended up selling the rest by walking around inside the stadium during the game. He made $9000 in about 2 hours! He ran out of buttons before halftime. He could have made a lot more money if he would have had more buttons made.
Young people on this board don't understand how intense this rivalry was back in the 1970s. There is no current game we play that comes close to the intensity of the pitt - Penn State game back in that era.

Nailed it. I fat shame people all the time, doesn't make them skinny. Or attractive. Or any higher in recruiting rankings
I agree. It is very childish. The same people using then are often whining the most when other boards call us Ped State or State Penn ect.
Agreed. However, I felt obliged to include the sPitt reference to keep it an honest poll. Pleased to see that it's only garnered two votes, so far. 5B is without a doubt my own personal favorite.
Ummm, the also-ran attached just behind his 5th Choice (which was SorryExcuse - e.g., SorryExcuse listed as 5th Choice and ASWP was listed 5B).
