PENNSYLVANIA: PIZZERIA BEDDIA
Joe Beddia’s impeccable pizzas recently caught the eye of Bon Appétit, who called it, hands down, “the best pizza in America.” Apparently it’s all about the organic flour dough. Damn, we’re sold.

Good for them.
Don't agree at all about Ledo pizza in MD. Its ok but in Balto. alone Mathews's Pizza and especially
Joe Squared are much better.

He has a great book on pizza Amazon product ASIN 1419724096
As mentioned above, he closed the doors at the beginning of the summer and has been traveling the globe all summer with plans to open in the Fall I believe.

Those pizza's go fast, they sell out every day.

Also, Beddia's wasn't really a slice joint - whole pies only and he only made 40 pies per day. Best slice in Philly, right now, is Rione; Roman-style pizza that is out of this world.

Tuzzi's Tomato Garlic has now claimed the top spot for pizza in ThePennsyOracle's record book.

Had it for the first time this summer, and it was life-changing.

Had it and it is completely overrated. Doesn't even come close to touching Fiori's in Pittsburgh.

Philly's knockoff NYC "foodie" scene is weak sauce.

New place due to open fall '18 at Front and Master: Sitdown and liquoir --hope the build out does not effect the pies.

You seem like a Pittsburgh snob. Have a you had Pizzeria Vetri? Taconelli's?

I've learned to never claim that anything outside of Pittsburgh is the best at something. Spent a few years in Philly (as well as Pittsburgh), but the majority of my family lives in Pittsburgh. I was reminded on regular basis how much better Pittsburgh was, despite making no comparisons between the 2 cities. I had a friend from Pittsburgh lecture me a few weeks ago about how Pittsburgh hospitals are the "top choice" for doctors around the country. I had no clue what he meant, but just nodded in agreeance.
