I think the CFP selection should be a wake-up call for the Big Ten. There has to be re-alignment because clearly the West Division winner was not respected enough to push OSU into final four. Secondly, the Big Ten needs to adjust its scheduling to avoid back to back tough games. Whether you like OSU or not (likely not) their loss to Iowa had something to do with their tough game against PSU just like the PSU loss to OSU after Michigan and the loss to Michigan State after the OSU game. At the end of the day these issues cost the Big Ten a spot in the top 4 and does not stand well for the Big Ten. I have to believe the Big Ten power brokers are already looking at what they need to avoid this happening in the future. Of course, it also makes an argument for expanding to 8.
